‘Is it clear?’ I asked.
Kieran had his head round the door.
‘All clear.’ He confirmed. ‘Go Skittles!’
I made a dash out the door and ran over to BOTDF’s bus, pushing the door open before any fan’s spotted me.
As soon as I had scrambled on, I was instantly picked up by Jayy to be pulled into a bear hug.
‘Jayy!’
‘Heya Hun.’ He said, carrying me over to the sofa, and sitting down, pulling me over so I was on his lap, playing with a lock of my hair. ‘How you been?’
‘I’m fine Jayy.’ I replied. ‘How are you?’
‘I’m alright sweetie. How’re the guys doing back home?’
‘That’s what I came to talk to you about. CC’s been acting really weird of late, all secretive.’ I looked up at Jayy, who was pondering. ‘What d’you reckon might be up?’
Jayy leaned back, me still on his lap.
‘Hmm, it’s a bit of a tricky one. It might be that he’s tired, or stressed. Or, knowing CC the way I do, he’s planning something,’ he said,
‘Like what?’ I asked.
‘That is a very good question my little SGTC member. Unfortunately, I don’t know the answer.’ Jayy smiled sympathetically. ‘How are you sleeping anyway? You’ve got bags under your eyes baby; you still having nightmares?’
I nodded. ‘Yeah. Ever since I got out that damned coma, they just wont leave me alone. I just want to get some sleep for once without waking up crying.’
‘Well, I want you to try and get some now, or I will not let you play tonight.’ Said Jayy firmly. ‘And I’m not joking here Angel.’
I gave a small sigh, and leaned against him, hearing his heart beating in my ear. I soon fell asleep.
The room was dark. I spun round, but I seemed to be alone.
‘H-H-Hello?’ I called.
I heard a low laugh, and froze.
Suddenly, I was roughly pushed against the wall.
‘Now, are we going to be a good girl, or is Emma going to get hurt?’ growled my father.
‘No, please, not Emma!’ I choked.
A light came on, showing Emma and my mother. She slapped Emma.
‘Now, every time you don’t co-operate, Emma gets hurt.’ Said my father smugly.
‘I’ll do anything! Just don’t hurt Emma!’ I cried.
He chuckled, and I felt his hand slip down my pants.
‘Please, not there!’
I heard the slap, and the high cry of pain.
‘Okay, just leave Emma alone! Please!’
He gave a laugh, a laugh that bounced off the walls, rung in my ears, echoing in my head…
‘Sarah-Jane!’
My eyes shot open. I was still on Jayy’s lap, his arms hugging me tightly. I burst into tears, howling into his chest.
‘Shh, shh, I’ve got you, I’ve got you Hun.’ He soothed.
‘We’re here SarahJ.’ Another hand was gently rubbing my back, the voice belonging to Matt. ‘We’ve got you.’
