‘We’ve got some unfinished business.’ I looked into the faces of James, Josh and Harry. They were so tall, so strong.

‘No, no.’ I whimpered.

I made a run, and I could hear them behind me, yelling, shouting. Figures, hooded figures, appeared on my sides, making walls either side of me, calling names.

‘Mosher!’

‘Freak!’

‘Weidro!’

‘Emo!’

‘Cutter!’

‘Slag!’

‘Loser!’

‘Loner!’

I couldn’t run much longer, I knew, but they weren’t having any problems.

Two hooded figures appeared out of thin air in front of me and grabbed me, their boney like fingers closing round my arms like cuffs. Lifting me off my feet, my legs flailing, they held on, despite my attempts to pull myself from their grasp.

‘Broken and sad as the tarnish on your crown…’ the music was everywhere, the melody that once I found comforting now haunting. My death song.

‘No! NO! JAKE! ANDY! JINNX! CC! DADDY!’ I stared to scream the names of the band, crying out.

James pulled the shiny blade out, and pressed it against my chest.

‘Goodnight little emo princess.’ He taunted softly.

He then rammed it through, and I awoke.

I sat up in my bunk, tears pouring down my face.

‘Skittles?’

I looked to see Kieran, who was awake, looking at me on my bunk.

‘You all right? Ashley told me about the nightmares, and you were tossing in your sleep.’ He asked softly.

I bit my lip and nodded. A pair of arms scooped me out my bunk, and I was held tightly against a warm chest.

‘Shh, shh, it’s okay Skittles. They can’t hurt you anymore.’ Kieran soothed.

I hid my face in his warm smooth chest, feeling him rub my back comfortably.

‘I was so scared Kieran.’ I whimpered.

‘We were all scared. Scare for you, scared about you, scared you weren’t ever going to wake up. Ashley was in a right state when you first went in, he didn’t leave your side for at least 3 weeks, he just kept holding your hand, talking to you about all the happy memories. Even when the band practically forced him out the hospital, he kept coming back, telling you about everything that was going on. It broke his heart to have to leave to play Download, but Jayy, Dahvie and Jeffree stayed, placing their phone by you on the pillow so he could talk to you through it every night. It hurt us all Skittles, and when they finally shut down your machine, well, I have never seen him so broken and upset, and neither had the others, judging by their reactions.’ Kieran said quietly.

I buried my face deeper into his chest.

‘C’mon. You can bunk with me if you don’t want to go back to your own.’

‘Please.’ I whispered like a little girl.

He chuckled, and climbed back into his bunk, and laid my head on his chest.
