Calum and Ashton had showed up around six and Michael had gotten the door since Luke was on the phone.
"Hey Michael," They greeted, nodding their heads at him.
"Hi," Michael smiled gently.
Michael liked Ashton and Calum. They we're good people and all, but he couldn't help but feel that Luke enjoyed their presence more than his. He knew Luke loved him just by the way he smiled at him, but there was just something that was bothering Michael.
Michael walked back to the kitchen and continued doing their lunch dishes. Well, Luke's lunch dishes since Michael hadn't eaten yet.
"I just ordered pizza, I hope you two are hungry," Michael heared Luke tell Ashton and Calum.
Michael sighed.
The doorbell rang just as Michael had finished cleaning the kitchen.
"Michael! Can you get that? I think it's the pizza." Luke had started calling Michael by his name a lot more now that they lived together.
"Where's your wallet?" Michael called back, looking around.
"Shit, sorry love, I haven't got payed yet! Could you take this one?" Luke yelled from the living room.
Luke had a part time job at a car dealership which didn't pay well, but Luke had some money still from his family and Michael had money as well from selling some written pieces to magazines. Michael frowned and walked to the door, opening it.
He greeted the pizza man quietly and took the wallet out of his pants and handed him a twenty.
"It's forty-two ninety-seven, son," the pizza man said, looking at Michael like he was dumb.
Luke had jogged into the room just as the man said that.
"Right, I was feeling wings and breadsticks as well tonight, sorry, Kitten," Luke said, kissing the boy's cheek.
Michael sighed and took out his wallet again, handing the man twenty-five. "Keep the change."
Luke took the food and brought it to the living room. Michael watched him as he sat down and physically moaned as he opened the pizza. (me too Luke) He watched as the greasy food met his lips and as Luke chewed his first bite, rolling his eyes back and moaning as he swallowed the pizza.
"I swear pizza is better than sex," Luke stated.
Ashton and Calum both happily "Mhmm'ed" as they took their bite too. Michael frowned at the remark but tried to forget about it.
"Hey, Kitten? Can you get us some beers?" Luke called, glancing over at Michael.
Michael sighed and went to the fridge to get the beers and walked back to the boys.
"Thank you, baby. I'll repay you later for paying for our food," Luke winked.
Even though Michael blushed, he shook his head. "No need, you enjoy the pizza more anyways."
Before Luke could say anything, Michael left and went into their room. He walked over to the tall book shelf and scanned all the titles. He smiled when he saw the familiar font to his favourite book, Looking For Alaska.
While Luke ate and drank and watched sports with his friends, Michael layed on their bed and read through the book. He heard their door open and close around two in the morning and yawned, closing his book. He rose to his feet and walked out of their room.
"There you are!" Luke yelled, a little too loudly for this time of night. "Why didn't you eat with us?"
Michael shrugged. "Sports and beer aren't my thing, you know that."
"So? You still could have sat with us for a bit and actually of been a social human being," Luke grumbled.
Michael shook his head and rested his hands on Luke's back.
"Come on, you're drunk, lets get you to bed," Michael spoke softly.
Luke shook Michael off him. "I can get there by myself."
Michael watched as Luke stumbled off to their room, shaking his head when he obviously stumbled to the point where he bumped into walls.
Michael looked at the living room and sighed again, seeing the mess. He made his way over there and started with the food boxes. He gathered them and piled them into the recycling. After that he picked up all the beer bottles. He didn't even bother counting them, he knew the number would make his eyes burn.
After throwing out the trash he wiped up the crumbs. Thankfully the boys were pigs and didn't bother using dishes so there were none to do.
Michael didn't bother going to bed that night. He just grabbed a blanket and his pillow and slept alone on the extremely uncomfortable couch.
I swear it'll get better omg.
