4 years later.
Luke walked up the sidewalk to his new house holding Andrew's hand. They just moved into a bigger house a couple of months ago after realizing their apartment was too small for the four of them. A year ago Michael had started getting somewhere with his writing and had his first story published. Luke had been promoted to manager at the car place.
Luke walked into his house and sighed happily seeing that their new house was slowly coming together and less crowded in boxes. His eyes trailed to Andrew who was tugging on his hand.
"Where's daddy?" He asked.
"Let's go find him," Luke said with a smile and walking with his son into the backyard.
There was Michael, sitting in a chair that was way too small for him at a table that was way too short for him and pretend drinking out of teacup that was way too small to even hold tea. In front of him was Amelia, their two year old daughter sitting in a chair that was a perfect size for her at a table that was the perfect height of her and a teacup that was the perfect size for her tiny hands. She was giggling away as Michael tilted his head back to pretend finish the tea.
"Pinkie up!" She giggled and Michael mumbled an 'oh yeah' and lifted his pinkie.
"Daddy!" Andrew screamed, distracting Michael from his drink.
"Hi Drew!" Michael smiled widely, opening his arms.
Andrew let go of Luke's hand and into Michael's arms who lifted him up onto his lap.
"Amelia, I got something for you," Luke called out.
She placed down her cup and ran over to her dad, looking up for him. He kneeled down in front of her and pulled a hairband with kitten ears on top. He gently placed it on her tiny head and smiled as she lifted her hands up to feel it.
"I a kitten!" She squealed.
Luke smiled widely. "Yeah you are!"
"Just like daddy!" She giggled.
"Go show him," Luke said, lighting tapping her back, pushing her in his direction.
Amelia squealed and ran to Michael.
"Look!" She yelled, pointing at her head.
"Oh my gosh, you look so cute!" Michael said with a smile. He looked up at Luke. "Is this the one I wore to our dance?" Michael asked.
Luke nodded. "I found it today while cleaning out a box."
Michael lifted Andrew off his lap and onto the grass where he started chasing after his little sister giggling. Michael then stood up and walked over to his husband. Luke hugged him tightly and they looked over at their kids.
"I never thought I could be this happy, Kitten," Luke spoke softly.
Michael looked up at Luke. "I never thought I would find someone as amazing as you."
"Looks like the world proved us wrong," Luke smiled, leaning down and kissing Michael.
It was soon interrupted by their kids yelling "yucky!" Luke and Michael laughed.
"Who wants pizza?" Luke asked, everyone screamed 'me' including Michael.
"Pizza it is," Luke said, walking back into the house.
Michael watched him as he walked into their house. It was true, Michael didn't think he'd ever get married or have kids or even have a life. But boy, this wasn't only a life, it was a fantasy, a happy ending.
