Michael threw out the things in his hands and walked up behind Luke. He frowned, seeing the attractive man in the door.
"Who's this?" He asked quietly.
Luke wrapped his arm around Michael.
"Michael, this is my brother, uh, Jack," Luke said.
Michael could tell he was tense.
"Jack, this is my boyfriend, Michael," Luke explained.
Michael smiled, trying to lighten the moment, and stepped forward.
"Come in!" He said happily. "We just finished a party, we have snacks and drinks if you would like anything."
Jack walked in. "Thanks, I'll have a beer."
Michael frowned. Luke looked pissed.
"We are expecting a child, this is an alcohol free zone," Luke said angrily.
"Expecting?" Jack asked, looking around. "I don't know if you've noticed but you're both guys, I think your boyfriend over there isn't pregnant, maybe he's just fat."
Jack walked a bit, looking at the walls. And then he sat down.
Luke crossed his arms. "We're adopting."
Michael entered the room with a cup. "I got you a root beer, I hope that's okay."
"No, I don't drink caffeine. It's not healthy," Jack said, shaking his head.
Michael frowned again.
"Take the damn drink, Jack," Luke growled, pissed at how Jack was treating his boyfriend.
Jack put his hands up in defense and took the drink. Michael moved and sat next to Luke.
"How did you find me?" Luke asked.
"I went to dad's house, actually. I saw that they were rebuilding in and I asked a worker. He told me it burnt down and told me who I should check with," Jack shrugged.
"Why are you here?" Luke asked.
"I came here to ask dad for money, my girlfriend left me after I lost my job and I'm broke," Jack said. "Where is dad anyways?"
Michael's eyes widened. Luke's face fell.
"Dad's, uh, dead," Luke said.
Jack didn't seem to stunned. "Doesn't surprise me, it was bound to happen soon with what he was on."
Luke was fed up. He stood up and towered over Jack.
"You've been here for five minutes and I've had it up to here with you! You can't just come into my house, demand a beer, treat my boyfriend like shit and then talk smack about my dad!" Luke yelled.
"Your dad? Hello, we're brothers," Jack said.
"Yes, my dad, you left just the same time as mom died, so did Ben. You left your baby brother alone with you broken alone dad, who was just as hurt as all of us. I was the one who stuck by his side while you partied it up with chicks," Luke growled.
"We would have invited you along, but we knew you were a fag(im so sorry i hate using this word) all along." Jack shrugged.
"That's it! Get out!" Luke said, slapping the drink out of his hand.
"Look, I just want some money, and then I can leave," Jack said.
"We don't have money, we're about to be parents!" Luke explained.
"You're just going to let your big brother live on the streets?" Jack asked.
Before Luke could answer, Michael stood up. "We have a guest room, you can stay there until we figure something out."
Luke shot Michael a look.
"We can't just let him sleep on a bench, he may be not a very nice person, but he's still a human." Michael explained.
Luke could just melt at Michael's perfectness. He was such a kindhearted person and he felt like shit for taking it for granted. He didn't want his brother to stay but he also didn't want to fuck things up with Michael again.
Luke sighed. "Fine, you can stay."
im gonna be doing the character answer later, feel free to keep asking! <3
