Even though it was almost three in the morning, Michael left Ashton's. He walked quickly to Luke's, which wasn't too far, and went up to his room. Thankfully he had his keys.

He got to the door and unlocked it, turning the knob. He stepped in, scared of what he might see. He winced at the smell. It smelt like, well, Michael didn't know what it was, maybe cleaner? Some kind of chemical.

The lights were on but no one was around. He stepped more in and looked around the living room.

"Luke?" He called out quietly.

He kept looking around and went to the bedroom. Nothing. He then went to the bathroom. Also nothing. When he left the bathroom he noticed the door to the spare bedroom was closed. He took in a deep breath and turned the knob, opening the door.

"Luke?" He asked again and stepped into the room.

The smell became stronger. When his eyes adjusted to the way brighter lighting, his eyes widened. He couldn't believe what he was seeing. It brought tears to his eyes, but in reality, that could have been the chemical smell.

His eyes trailed down to where he found Luke laying, covered in paint. He was asleep.

"Luke?" Michael asked, stepping in towards him.

Luke moved slowly and then opened his eyes. It was like he was shot with a boost of energy because he jumped up and before Michael could realise, Luke was gripping onto him.

"Kitten! You came home! I'm so so sorry, I tried to get a hold of you but you never answered, I'm sorry, Kitten, I'm sorry I made a mistake, I love you, I love you, I'm sorry," Luke said, holding onto Michael tightly.

Michael was quiet, unsure of what to say. He was still hurt, but he loved this boy so much it was all starting to fade and all he wanted to do was hold him.

Luke noticed he was quiet and let go. "Kitten?" He asked.

Michael didn't say anything. He just looked at the walls of the room. The pastel yellow and pastel green walls of the room. His eyes scanned the furniture in the room. He smiled.

"You finished the nursery," Michael whispered.

Luke scratched his neck. "Uh, yeah, Denise called and asked if we wanted to know the gender of the baby, and how we were doing on the nursery. I told her no, and that we were doing well. So I went out and shopped, getting everything I thought you'd love for our baby, making sure it was all gender neutral because I knew you wanted it to be a surprise."

Michael smiled. "It's perfect."

"It has to be, for our baby," Luke said, looking down at Michael.

Michael looked up at him. "For our baby."
