Chapter 4

Thomas' PoV

"Ratman," I hear Newt say with his teeth gritted and so much hatred in his voice.

"Hello Newt, Minho and of course the lovely Thomas, it's so nice to see you all again, isn't it?" He asked with mocking smirk on his face which I just want to punch!

"Shut up or I will smash your head into the ground," I hear Newt say in an eerily calm voice.

"You always were such a joy," Ratman said while starring at Newt, "Now I bet you are all wondering why you are back at WICKED, am I right?"
We all just stay silent, waiting for him to answer our question.

"Well we brought you back here because out of everyone you three were our best candidates," he says waiting for a response.

"What do you want with us?" I hear Minho ask, gritting his teeth.

"Well there is something you should know first and that is the flare, the trials, everything, none of it was real,"
he said with a more annoying and cunning smirk forming on his face.

"What!?!" I hear all of us ask at once.
All Ratman did was shake his head and laugh to him self.

"What I mean is nothing was real, it was all a simulation, once someone died or completed it they would then woke up from it," he exclaimed, filling me up with joy, everyone could still be alive! Chuck, Alby, Winston, Teresa!

Suddenly he buts into my thoughts, "I know what you are all thinking and no they at not still alive, since they weren't our top candidates we just killed them after they woke up." Out of nowhere Newt suddenly jumps up and knocks out one of the guards and then attacks Ratman. Minho quickly follows behind and attacks one of the guards managing to break one of the guys wrist making him cry out in pain, he then bangs the guards head of the wall making him collaps to the floor unconscious.
It was only the guard in front of me and Ratman left. Minho had went to help Newt take down Ratman as I go to take down the guard.

Newt quickly punched Ratman hard in the head making him go unconscious, as I grab one of the guards guns and shoots him in the leg then the chest. As he goes to collapse on top of me I quickly move out of the way and jogged over to the door which is locked.
Minho is trying to brake it open with a fire extinguisher while Newt is at the keyboard next to the door trying to hack into the system to break the lock... I think.
"Hurry up guys they could wake up any second now!" I say while panicking a bit.

Suddenly I heard a crack and the door handle comes rolling to my feet.
"Run!" I hear Minho shout as he races out of the door with Newt following closely behind him.
I quickly run after them, soon catching up to them.
I come to a sudden stop as I look at the other locked door in front of me.

"You can't escape WICKED," I hear a calm but angry voice say behind me.
As I look around I see Ratman and one of the guards.

"There was never any escape," he adds as he slowly and creepily comes towards us.
