Song Of The Chapter: Daylight by Maroon 5

Everybody was silent.

Eleanor looked like she was going to have a hissy fit; her mouth was wide open and her fists were clenched by her side. Louis, on the other hand, looked down with bright red cheeks.

After our confrontation earlier, I knew Louis was blushing because of me interrupting. As much as he could've denied it, he still felt a connection with me. I just knew it.

Louis wasn't one to just move on. It isn't like him to do so. If something happens, like arguments or if people bother him, then the problem stays fresh in his head for hours, days, even months. It doesn't go away until he thinks he's solved the problem.

But he hasn't solved Eleanor yet, now has he?

She's what his problem was, and I'm not saying that just because I don't like her. Honest. However, Eleanor really was the problem of the universe; problematic and symptomatic. She's created so much drama between Louis and I - the fans too.

So much bullshit.

I looked around again. Louis mom - who sat in the first row - stared at me, not so surprised. Almost as if she knew I would do something stupid. How could she know, though? Yeah, sure, me and Lou were really close. But close enough that she could have suspected something?

My eyes found Liam and Niall. Niall had his hand covering his mouth as he stared at Eleanor in utter amusement. Liam, on the other hand, looked baffled, which confused me because him, out of all people, should've saw it coming. Niall, too.

Eleanor had never looked so done with life. She had her face in her palm and shook her head.

Keep shaking your head, Eleanor. Just wait, just wait.

I smiled nervously then slammed back down into my seat. My heart was beating so hard I thought it was going to stop and my mind was racing so quick. Thoughts piling on one another.

I was light headed and the room started spinning. Maybe I was being dramatic, but thought of Elounor made me so, so queasy. I took deep breaths and counted to ten - it barely helped, but kept me quiet.

"Sir, please stand again and state your reason of disapproval." The priest called out for my attention.

After a few minutes of people staring at me and my head left hanging, people started to get impatient. My head came back up and a straight face was pasted on my face.

"Well, since you do not wish to continue your statement," the priest sighed, clearly annoyed with me, "we will continue on."

My eyes found Louis', but he was already staring. His eyes were full of lust and requisite. I sad smiled at Louis and he just stared.

His eyes glistened a little and I thought he was tearing up, but as soon as I processed the thought, he blinked it away. Like nothing happened.

Louis gave his attention back to Eleanor and she smiled. I slumped into my seat and sighed - cursed missed opportunities.

"Do you, Eleanor Jane Calder, take Louis William Tomlinson?"

"I do." Eleanor agreed proudly.

"Do you, Louis William Tomlinson, take Eleanor Jane Calder?"
