I walked into the familiar London club. Cupid's Devil. After spending the entire day catching up with my mom, I wanted to go out and let loose. I wanted to get away from all those screaming for my attention.
I'd danced away many nights here when I was younger- it was close enough to mom's house, which was located on the outskirts of the city, that if anything happened I could quickly return. The place provided an odd sense of comfort because of all the memories held in it. Stolen kisses, awkward almost hook ups, parties with friends, all the drinks I chugged in secret when it wasn't legal for me to drink yet.
I had even introduced Louis to Cupid's Devil, to which he adored the party scene and gotten drunk numerous times with me, but that was beside the point anymore. Those were just cold, distant memories.
"So what is this place?" Louis shouted over the music into my ear.
I shot him a confused look, "A nightclub... haven't you been to one?"
"No, because quite frankly I'm fine with a couple cans of beer, pizza and movies at home."
"Aw Louis, it's like I'm taking your virginity but in club form!
"Well, I definitely took yours. So I'll let you have this moment." Louis winked and I could feel the heat rise in my cheeks. "What do we do first?"
"Drink. Relax. Then we dance."
"Harry, you can't fucking dance." His laugh echoed through my ears.
"You can't either, loser. That's what makes it so fun. We can be drunk and stupid, now come on. We have a night to party up!" I grinned wildly and pulled him behind.
About an hour later, two beers, a glass of wine and a few shots were in my system. I threw my head back to swallow the shots of vodka and Bacardi without any cringing to keep from looking like a wimp. Warmth from all the alcohol crept down my throat and through my chest. My eyes glanced from the bar counter into the swarm of grinding bodies. Between the blaring music, flickering lights and excessive amounts of people, it was difficult for anyone to notice me. I wore a simple white t-shirt, black jeans and worn out Converse.
In the middle of taking in the commotion, a man- who was already watching me- caught my attention. He was gorgeous, without even trying. The way he leaned carelessly into his seat, the way his eyes looked deep into mine. The man's eyes gaze at the spot next to him, then back at me. A smirked played his lips and he shrugged as if to say what's stopping you, but still keeping innocence.
I jabbed a finger to myself then over at his table. You want me over there? I mouthed. He grinned and nodded. I dramatically rolled my eyes, shaking my head. His mouth dropped open in disbelief. I faced away for a moment, jokingly ignoring the man. When I turned back I couldn't help but laugh out loud.
The man's bottom lip jutted out and his chin rested on his fist. His eyes were open big, but his brows drooped sadly. Yes, he was pouting. And yes, it was fucking adorable. So I made my way over.
I slid into the older looking man's area. It was fairly small, with only a half circle booth and table. Just big enough for two people. Our thighs almost touched, but I kept a small distance.
"You're not going to point me out to everyone here?" Was the first thing to leave my mouth.
I watched the man as he relaxed in his seat. One hand rested on his knee and the other laid on the table holding a glass. It was quiet, as all we did was take in each other's appearances. The man had sun kissed skin, lovely full lips, a strong jaw and dark brows that complimented brown orbs. His eyes watched very observantly.
