Song Of The Chapter: Cigarette Daydreams by Cage The Elephant
Louis and Eleanor sat in their living room. The television was on, but there was an uncomfortable tension between the two. Louis tried his best to ignore it. Eleanor, however- being the fussy type- needed answers.
"So how did yesterday go?"
"It was good; Niall's always one to throw a great party. He cooked steaks, sausage, potatoes- stuff like that. The boy is an amazing chef! Played some ball. Although I did get hurt," Louis frowned and held out his wrist. The cat bandage was still on, which turned his frown upside down.
"I saw," Eleanor nodded slowly, "there was a picture on Twitter."
"Oh yeah? Did I look okay?" Louis joked, but Eleanor wasn't having it. She wanted Louis to admit his wrong doings, no matter the cost.
"I'm not too sure," she glared at him.
"And whys that, El?" Louis hummed, glancing from the television to her.
"I couldn't quite tell, you know," she cocked her head to the side, "since Harry straddled you against the counter."
Louis sucked in a sharp breath and had to refrain from rolling his eyes. His head threw backwards as he thought, why me? He sat up straight and turned to Eleanor.
"He was not straddling me, Eleanor. I slipped in the pool, so he took me to the bathroom to mend my wound. Didn't you see the bandaids and cleaning supplies? And besides, if anything, I had the upper hand. I could've easily done something, but I didn't."
Her mouth dropped in disbelief, "And what exactly is that supposed to mean?"
Louis smiled sarcastically, "I think you know damn well what it's supposed to mean."
"How dare you," Eleanor threw her hand up and slapped it hard against Louis' warm face. The impact was cold and rough, it stung. It was unexpected. His head hung low as he cupped his cheek.
"I didn't mean it, I'm sorry."
"It's fine," she sighed, "I shouldn't have hit you."
Louis' phone rang next to him. The hand on his cheek went to the cellphone. Simon's caller I.D. made Louis roll his eyes. He knew what Simon had to say, and it wouldn't be pleasant.
"I'll be back soon," Louis said and pecked Eleanor's forehead.
"Everything okay?" She gazed longingly.
"You're not the only one mad about Harry and I together," he mumbled and walked out.

Liam drove the curly headed lad to Simon's office since Niall still slept and Harry didn't want to drive. Harry hated mornings and meetings, but he was more bubbly than usual.
"Hey," Liam grinned, and nudged Harry, "what're you so chipper for?"
Harry giggled out of happiness, "Have you seen the shit going down on Twitter? The girls and guys support Louis and I so much. Sure, I was mad when a fan snuck a photo of us in the bathroom, but I think it's for the better. Their encouragement keeps growing; it's unbelievable! I love it!"
