Song Of The Chapter: Don't Look Back In Anger by Oasis

1 month later.

Harry was the first to go to Simon with the idea of taking a break. He explained how him and the boys had been touring for quite a few years now, and it was only fair to have a long break. Harry also mentioned how they'd missed their family very much.

Simon was quick to assume, and called their break a "hiatus", to which Harry shot back that it would just be a "generous vacation because of all the hard work". Simon wasn't mad- he was actually sort of relaxed to be let go of dealing with all their boyish ways.

Soon enough, Simon had a talk with the boys as a whole and told them they'd be getting overdue time off. All four boys were eager to get back to their roots and be with their loved ones. Just a little bit of home was all they wanted.

Deep down, Louis was still hurt from the confrontation by Harry. Nothing had ever been so harsh and serious as it was that night in the tour bus. Sure, he'd grown some balls and dealt with what the bigger lad said, but he didn't want to believe Harry's words. Did Louis really only go to Harry when he wasn't sure what he wanted? Did Louis really not put effort into relationships, but still wanted to be seen as some amazing guy? Did he only care about his reputation and how others perceived him?

What would Louis do if he was never able to get Harry back?

Hell if he knew.

It was One Direction's last concert of the year, for a while. Once it ended, there would be SUV's waiting out back to take them to the airport. From there, each member would make their way to the airplanes, and fly home.

"It's been a true pleasure tonight, boys and girls, men and women." Liam's voice poured through the speaker. "However, all good things must come to an end, and the show is nearing its last song of the night. Niall, take it away."

Niall's smiley face appeared on the jumbo screens by the stage, so everyone in the stadium could see him. The crowd erupted in cheers at the sight of Niall's cute, rosy face.

"This last song, us boys- and Zayn at one point- came together to sing something that held a significant role in our heart. It kept us feeling like little boys, all young and happy." Niall shot a glance at Harry, and Harry took it as his cue to speak.

Harry lifted up his microphone as the corners of his cheeks went up, "Though this may just be a cover, I think everyone here can agree that we sound great signing it together, huh boys? Not only that, but it's just so meaningful. In the future, I'm sure we'll look back and really appreciate the lyrics."

From beside Harry, Louis stood calmly. He was finally given the okay to stand next to Harry, like it was normal as ever. But of course something like this would happen. Of course Louis and Harry would be offered such a surplus of freedom on their last night together.

"Harry definitely has a point, doesn't he, Niall and Liam?" Louis finally spoke, and Harry's head perked up ever so slightly at the way his name sounded rolling off of the blue eyed boy's tongue, but didn't let Louis see. "Life is all about youth and spending your time wisely- spending it with all the right people, though nothing is perfect. Ladies and gentlemen, Forever Young." Louis finished, and all the people roared with happiness and cheers again.

"Let's dance in style, lets dance for a while. Heaven can wait, we're only watching the skies. Hoping for the best but expecting the worst. Are you gonna drop the bomb or not?" Liam sung and walked up and down the stage, trying to high five as many fans as he could. Niall went in the other direction and did the same.
