darkfall / dark·fall (n)
When you fall asleep and wake up at two in the morning, traumatised by horrific dreams
When I have a darkfall, I stay awake for the rest of the night in fear that the dreams will come back.

Silence
I hear my fast breathing
The pale light of a neighbor
The long shadows of my furniture
Heart beat
Faster than a marathon
More intense than an auditionI heard screams
Horrifying screams
Screams from friends
Screams from lovers
Shaky lights
Shadows
SilenceIt's too quiet
I hold my breath
Drowning in the silence
Of the night, I can't
Think straight
Exist straight
Something make a noise! But all I feel is
Dead, uninterrupted silence
That throbs through my skull
And invades my every doubting thought
The silence that ironically
Reminds me of the screams
In my nightmareThe shadows darken
Light dims
My eyes widen
At the approaching
Ebony black
That is threatening
To contain meAnd that horrifying
Terrible silence
That mocks my fear
And engulfs me
As I'm smothered
In the onyx abyss
Of early morning
All while I'm paralyzed
And scared for the
Tomorrow that I suddenly
Realize will never comeTime ticks slower
As the room grows darker
And the silence gets louder
And my breathing becomes harder
And the clock stopsAnd I scream
