=Cat's P.O.V= 

I opened my eyes and saw the light coming through the window before stretching. When I looked over at the couch; Chase was sleeping. He looked so peaceful. I smiled to myself and got up out of bed. I got ready in the bathroom and headed downstairs. Isaac was sitting in the dining room and my dad was sitting at the head of the table, talking to Derek who was next to him. Danny was in the kitchen when I entered it.

"He can't just come back like that." Danny said and I opened my mouth to say something when a thump sounded from the fire escape.

"What was that?" My dad asked and came into the kitchen.

"Oh that was just me." I told him. "I left my jacket at the top of the stairs with my phone in it, it must have hit that." I said and he went back to the dining room. I let out a sigh of relief and Danny smirked at me, clearly amused.

I grabbed a piece of bacon and walked up the stairs. I heard my name and turned around. Isaac was standing on the landing part of the stairs on the second floor. I walked back down and waited for him to say something. He just hugged me.

"I'm sorry. I didn't realize how bad it was. I should've been there for you." He told me quietly. "I'm meeting Chase later for lunch, Derek's sleeping but Danny will come, do you want to go with us?"

"Sure." I said and he kissed my forehead. "Don't....don't apologize." I said when we broke apart. "It's not your fault. It's over now. When do we leave for lunch?" I wondered.

"Twenty minutes." He said. "Also, thanks for letting Chase crash on your couch last night." He told me and I pursed my lips. "I came in to surprise you with coffee and he was there."

"He didn't want to go home or anything, I was just being nice." I told him. "I'll be down soon." I said and went upstairs. There was a note on my bedside table. "Thanks Princess, see you soon." I read aloud. I put it in my drawer and grabbed some socks from my dresser. I slipped them on and went into my office to find my shoes. Next to my computer was a picture of my mom and my dad. They were dancing at their wedding. I let out a sigh, thinking of how much my dad had changed from that smiling man in the photo.

"Hey." I looked up and saw Derek standing in the doorway.

"I thought you were sleeping." I laughed as I put my shoes on. "Isaac said you were."

"You think I want to fucking leave the house on a saturday? Fuck no, I'm sleeping. I just pretended to be asleep when Isaac opened my door. I wanted to ask you what the whole weird schedule is for Monday?" He said and I sighed as I tied my shoes.

"You only have to go in if you're retaking one of those standardized tests. I'm guessing you don't have to retake a test, so more time for sleeping I guess." I shrugged and stood up. Rocco ran into my office and jumped on my lap. "Hey big puppy." I smiled and kissed his forehead.

"Alright, I'm going to go avoid Isaac and sleep." He said as I scratched Rocco's ears. "Have fun at the lunch or whatever." He walked off and Rocco licked my cheek. I laughed and he went into my room. My phone made a sound and I went back into my room to look at it. There was a text from Kayden, asking if I could go to Portland tomorrow, and one from an unknown number.

Last night was fun, we'll have to do it again sometime -Chase

I could barely believe my eyes. He'd signed his name. He didn't write Monster. I pursed my lips, grinned to myself and sat down on my bed. Isaac appeared in my doorway and raised his right eyebrow at me. I cleared my throat and Rocco laid down on the bed next to me and leaned against my leg.

"Ready? We're leaving early and picking up Chase instead. I offered." Isaac told me. I nodded, kissed Rocco's head and headed downstairs with Isaac. Rocco followed me down the stairs, panting and licking his nose as he leaped from stair to stair to the first floor. I grabbed my light jacket and purse from the coat hanger and followed Isaac outside. Danny was already sitting in the backseat, snoring.
