=Cat's P.O.V= Picture of Kayden. Edited chapter
"Just go to Homecoming." Chase said as we got in his car. "You kind of owe me for licking my face the way you did earlier, that was a dick move, and you know it." He shrugged and I laughed, remembering the look on his face.
"I will go to homecoming, but not with you. I'll go with Kayden because I promised him we'd watch movies all night, and if I'm going with anyone I'm going with my best friend. If you're nice enough, I'll even dance with you." I said, and showcased a smile one would use on a little kid.
"Very cute, princess, but we both know I'm going to dance with you whether or not you agree to dance with me." He winks and I roll my eyes. "Do you have a dress?" He wondered and I shook my head. "Then let's go find you a dress." He says and I gape at him.
"Absolutely.......not." I shook my head and he tilted his head to the side as to say 'come on'. "No, I don't want to go dress shopping with you, Monster. I don't have my wallet-" I started but he cut me off almost immediately.
"Easy, I will pay for whichever dress you choose. Trust me my dad is way too rich, and using his money is what I live for." He told me and I sighed. "Oh come on, it'll be fun. You trying on a bunch of dresses and me telling you which one you look the hottest in." He grinned.
"You pervert." I smacked his cheek and he shrugged. "Fine, but I will choose the dress that I like, not you. Also, if you so much as choose a dress that you know is inappropriate that I will hate, I swear to god, Monster, I will punch you in the face."
"I promise." He muttered as we pulled into the parking lot of a store I'd never heard of. He parked and got out of his car. He opened the door for me while I searched for my phone through my purse, so I closed the door. "Why-" I opened it for myself and got out of the car. "What about chivalry?" He asked and I rolled my eyes.
"Chivalry has been dead for nearly two centuries." I said as we walked towards the store. We walk inside and he looks at me with a smirk. "I am definitely not a dress girl, so this is going to take some time."
We went through the aisles, looking for some nice dresses. He stood behind me and I handed him ones that I liked, or potentially would try on. He sighed, since I only chose three when I told him I would try them on now, and ordered I find at least five more. So I did. There was literally no one else at the store, so Chase and I went to the dressing rooms. He sat outside obviously as I got into the first one. It had lace short sleeves and a V-cut. I frowned at it as I took in its black appearance.
"This makes me look like I'm going to a funeral." I said from inside the dressing room.
"Get out here." He called back and I rolled my eyes, remembering the dress I wore to my mom's funeral. Biting my lip, I opened the door and showed him the dress. He drew a little twirl with his finger so I twirled around. "I mean you look hot, but it's too black." I went back in and tried on the next one. It was light pink with thin straps and it reached above my knees. I walked out, did a twirl for chase and sighed.
"I don't like it." I decided before he could say anything and went back into the room. I tried on the next one, it was a solid no. I tried on the next four, they were also either too long, too short, too exposing, too itchy or just too ugly. I tried on the last one, and when I went outside, Chase's eyes widened. "I really like it." I told him. It was strapless, the top a beautiful dark blue and tan array of shapes and the bottom a dark blue skirt that reached above my knees.
"I um.........." I rolled my eyes at him. "You look..........you look really beautiful." He told me and I flushed before quickly going into the dressing room. I reached for the zipper, but couldn't get it undone. I went out and sighed.
