It was Sunday afternoon, Rin just barely getting back to her apartment before someone came to check on her. When they asked what happened to her arm and leg, she told them she fell down the stairs. They seemed to believe it before leaving her alone. Once Rin was by herself, surrounded in silence, she sighed, leaning back in her couch, until her phone rang.
So much for peace and quiet...
She grabbed the damn device and answered the call, pressing it or her ear. "Hello?"
"Rinny! Where have you been!? You haven't been at school for two weeks!"
Hanji... Damn it...
"I've been busy."
"Doing what, hanging out with Mr. Popular?" She knew Hanji was smirking as she blushed slightly.
"N-no... It's nothing like that..."
"You hesitated! So you have been with Levi!"
"Okay, yes, I was with Levi, but...he was helping me with something, that's all."
"Mm-hmm... Helping you with what exactly?"
"Looking for something."
"Oh, okay! Well, will you be at school tomorrow?"
"Yeah."
"Great! Don't worry, you haven't missed much and I'm sure you can easily make it up."
"Right..."
"Well, see ya tomorrow, Rinny!"
"Bye, Hanji..." She then hung up the phone, setting it down before sighing again.
God, I hate that stupid nickname... Well, at least I got what I wanted... It feels good knowing that I accomplished what I had craved for so long...
Rin glanced around before laying down on the couch, being careful of her arm. Her eyes slipped closed as she soon drifted off to a deep sleep, one she obviously needed after all the hell she went through...

Her eyes slipped open as the redhead looked around, no one in sight. She was confused until someone called out to her.
"Rin..."
She quickly turned around, her eyes widening at seeing both her mother and father. Rin hesitantly took a step forward before drawing it back. "Don't be scared, Rin, it's just us. Come here..." Her mother gestured.
Rin hesitantly obeyed and went over to her mother, who lifted a hand and gently touched her cheek. It felt so real as the teen slowly placed her hand on top of her mother's. "You've turned into a beautiful girl, Rin."
"I'm sure all the boys take a second look at you!" Her father chuckled.
"Mom... Dad... I-I'm sorry..."
"For what, honey?" Her mother asked.
Tears brimmed Rin's eyes. "I... I've killed...a lot of people... I killed all those people from that day, when...when they killed both of you, and almost me along with it... I'm sorry... I just couldn't take it anymore and I didn't want them ruining anymore lives."
"Oh, sweetheart..." Both of Rin's parents wrapped their arms around the teen. "It's alright, Rin. You did what you thought you had to."
"We're not mad, mostly surprised that you managed to pull something like that off." Rin's father continued before they all pulled away from each other.
"I had help... A friend of mine -- Levi -- he helped me... I've tempted men, tricked women, but each time, I killed them all, one by one... I just wanted to see them dead... I'm sorry..." She wrapped her arms around herself, tears sliding down her face.
