The film was half way finished and everyone was asleep apart from me and Luke. I was sat next to him on the small sofa that was in the room.
"Hetty?" He said. I turned my head and looked at him and smiled.
"Yeah?" I said in a whispered voice. I looked behind him and over to Yasmin and Calum, they were sleeping and cuddling, it's so cute.
"Happy birthday." He whispered and pulled me closer to him. One of his legs were straight and the other was on the edge of the sofa. He moved me and put one of my legs over his so we were closer.
"Thank you." I smiled and blushed slightly. He reached up and tucked some hair behind my ear and took in all me features.
"I have something for you." He said going behind the sofa and getting a small box.
I looked up at him and he looked so excited it was so cute.
"Open it!" He whispered with excitement. He wrapped his hands around my waist and pulled me closer, if that was possible, and kept his hands there while he watched me.
I took the wrapping paper off, being careful not to wake up anyone and I saw a red box. I opened it slowly and inside lay a two piece necklace. It was a puzzle. When connected it said 'you are my missing piece. You fit perfectly.' I looked up at Luke and smiled.
"You see, you have one, I have one and when we are together, we are each other's missing piece." He said fiddling with the hem of my shirt at the back of my waist.
I smiled at him and I could tell that he was nervous and didn't know if I liked it. I smiled and lunged forward and hugged him tight around his neck. His hands moved around my waist and held me just as tight.
"I love it, thank you." I said in his ear. I felt his smile on my shoulder and I pulled away. I shuffled closer to him, if that is still possible, and took one piece of the puzzle out. I put it around his neck and tied it up and re positioned it. The whole time I did that, I felt him looking at me with a weird look in his eyes. He had a small smile on his face too.
I looked up at him and he looked down at the necklace. He smiled and took the other piece and motioned for me to turn around. I did so I was facing away from him and he put it around my neck, his fingers grazing my skin, making goose bumps appear on my skin.
He clipped it and dragged his fingers down and hugged me from behind. He laid his head on my shoulder and placed a small kiss on it, making me shiver.
"Let go so sleep." He whispered in my ear. I shivered and nodded. I turned around and we laid down on the sofa together. I put my head in his chest and one of his hands went to my waist and the other was playing with my hair.
"Thank you for the present Luke." I said into his chest.
"Anything for you, princess." He said and placed a kiss on the top of my head. I smiled and buried my burning face in his chest. "Good night, Hetty." He whispered to me.
"Good night, Luke." I said back to him.
