Complicated

More Than Expected

Barry's POV:

I watched stiles walk into the Lab this morning, Kelsey by his side.
I wasn't exactly sure when they planned on leaving but I'm guessing they were waiting on Stiles to heal enough to be able to travel back. And by the looks of it he was getting close to it.
His ribs were still far from healed of course,  but his bruises were a yellow color and his stitches had come out yesterday.
"Derek, Scott." Kelsey said motioning them over.
Derek walked over from his seat next to Caitlyn followed closely by Scott.
"Yeah?" Scott asked.
"I'm going to the store, come with me." She said helping stiles into a chair.
"Oh so your just gonna leave me here?" Stiles asked annoyed.
"We're just going right up the road Stiles, we will be back soon." I told him before leading the boys out.
"Wait why are we going to the store if everything we need is back at Star Labs?" Scott asked once we were outside.
"We aren't." I told him.
"Then where are we going." Derek said, annoyed.
I ignored them and lead them into the woods.
They both complained for about 10 minutes before I stopped.
"Last night Stiles woke me up, and I couldn't go back to sleep." I started.
"So I came out here and started wandering around." I continued as we crested a hill.
Both of them stopped in their tracks.
"And I found this." I finished, looking down at the oversized wolf paw that had been indented into the ground below us.
"Whatever we encountered last week, there's more of them. And they are close." I told them. Derek looked at me and opened his mouth to speak but Scott beat him to it.
"I thought werewolf's weren't in Central City." He said.
"They weren't." Derek said.
"Apparently they were. They must have been hit with the blast from the particle accelerator explosion." I told them.
"But why. Why would a pack of werewolves be that close to the particle accelerator." Derek asked.
"Especially since they were morphed." I told him.
They both looked at me confused.
"The one we encountered was in its wolf form." I explained.
"That doesn't mean they were like that when they were hit." Derek said.
"But what if it does. What if maybe this was planned?" I asked.
"Kelsey we can't start jumping to conclusions here. We barely even know how this whole particle accelerator thing works." Derek answered.
"Who would do that though?" Scott asked, ignoring Derek.
"That's what I've been trying to figure out." I told him.
"Kelsey I think you are just a little desperate to find a reason to stay here longer." Derek said crossing his arms.
"What exactly are you trying to say?" I asked.
He didn't get a chance to answer before my phone rang.
I pulled it out.
"It's Barry." I said.
Derek rolled his eyes.
"Speak of the devil." He mumbled.
"Since when did you start sharing phone numbers Kelsey? You wouldn't give me yours for like 3 months!" Scott said slightly offended.
I walked away from their harassment.

"Hey Kels, um I was just wondering when you guys were coming back?" He asked.
"Soon, why?"
"There's someone here I would like you to meet." He said.
"Oh okay, well we're actually leaving now!" I told him.
"Okay, see you soon."
"Bye."

"What was that about?" Scott asked.
"There's someone there he wants us to meet." I replied.
"Let's head back." I told them.
I looked back and eyed both of them, raising an eyebrow.
"Race ya." I said smiling as I let the blue shine bright in my eyes.
As soon as the red of Scott's flash back I sprinted off, not waiting on Derek.
He could kiss my ass.

Once we were there, yes I'm leaving out who won because winning isn't everything kiddos. Sometimes you have to come in last to get to the path you wanna follow, Barry met us at the door excitedly.
"Hey guys. Um, this is who really runs the place." He said proudly looking at the man behind him.
He was wheelchair bound with dark hair and light eyes.
Something about him irked me.
"His name is Harrison Wells." 

A/N: Okay I know this is so far overdue but I hope you liked it even tho the end was super rushed. I tried to take my time on this part but oh 🐋. Anyways, I hope you like it, I love yall so much 💕
