I feel Luhan slightly lose his balance as my knuckles collide into his arm.

“Ow! What was that for?!” he shouts, clutching his arm.

I glare at him.

“What the hell is wrong with you?”

“What?!”

“Dude, do you even think?!”

“What are you talking about?!” Luhan continues to shout while waving his arms around.

Wow, seriously Luhan? You’re my best friend, but seriously? Are you really that big of an asshole?

I sigh. “Dude, I heard you talking to Lindy…”

His body was starting to become tense. He begins to look around everywhere, trying to find something to use as a distraction. 

He hesitates, “And…?”

“And?! Are you really that much of a dick? Trying to set me up with her friend in order to have her all for yourself? Seriously?”

He stays quiet. I knew my friend has always liked Lindy. But seriously?

“Luhan, I backed off of her. I knew you liked her. So, like a good friend, I backed off. But you still think you need to set me up with her friend?!”

I’m getting mad at this point. Does he seriously think I’m that stupid? I backed off of her just for him. And knowing my blunt personality, this idiot better know what’s coming for him.

He begins to speak, “Look, I’m sorry that I…”

I interrupt him, “And you know what makes it worse?! The fact that you used Lindy as a “fake date” and even told her that you didn’t have feelings for her! You’re such an asshole!”

“You…you heard that?” he stutters.

“Yeah! I heard it! You know that she likes you, right?”

His eyes begin to brighten. This kid! He’s so selfish!

“She…she…does?! Lindy Chen actually likes me?” he says in awe.

“Yeah, she likes you. I don’t know why though because you’re such a d*ck! Did you not know that she liked you?! And what the fuck, dude?! You kissed her and then said you didn’t like her?! “You’re such a fucking liar! Are you…are you seriously that stupid?! Do you have any idea how she probably feels right now?!”

I grab the collar of his shirt and push him against the side of the building.

“Honestly, I was glad that she liked you. I don’t know why though since you’re such an idiot!”

“Dude! Get a hold of yourself! I know! I’m an idiot! You don’t have to keep telling me! Now get the hell off me!”

Luhan pushes me that I stumble backwards and trip over a rock.  Once I gain back my composure, I turn and glare at him again, fists ready to sock him in the face.

“You are such a fucking asshole! You know what? Let’s get this straight. I don’t care how much you like her or how much she likes you! I’m not backing off now. And I’m gonna do whatever it takes in order for her to see what you did.”

I just threatened him. I seriously can’t believe that I’m getting into a fight over a girl right now. Do I really like Lindy that much?

“I’ll go apologize to her! I’ll do whatever you want me to! But don’t tell her about today!”

The hell?

“Why shouldn’t I?! You already decided to go through with it! And now I’m on some date with Claire and I don’t even like her! Lindy already knows that!”

Luhan grabs the collar of my shirt.

“You don’t think I already know that?!” he shouts back at me.

I take hold of his wrists and try to pry them off of my shirt.

“Well of course not! Why would I ever think of this idiotic plan?! And why would I ever jeopardize my friendship with my best friend over some stupid girl? I could understand if it was someone like…like…Yuri! But you?! Really Luhan?” I yell back at him.

He let’s go of me and takes a deep breath. Now, Luhan has been my best friend since I can remember. But I can’t remember the last time we ever fought over a girl. And it pisses me off because it’s Lindy. But it makes me even more aggravated that he would even do that to her! Yeah, I have ears, I can hear (and I eavesdrop).  But that’s beside the point.

See, I didn’t even like Lindy at first. But there’s something about her that’s really enticing. She’s not like other girls…people, actually. She’s really confident and sweet and she’s actually pretty attractive.  

I turn back up to Luhan and look him dead straight in the eye.

“Look, I get that you like her and all. But I won’t be holding back anymore.”

I won’t.
