"GIRLFRIEND?!" Kai and Claire shout.

Girlfriend?! Me?! His girlfriend!? When did this become official?! If he's serious about this, then he's officially the worst person to ask someone to be their girlfriend. He didn't even legitimately ask! He just thinks he has to announce it and it's official! Well you know what Mr. Gorgeous? It doesn't work that way! Nope!

Claire and Kai both look at us completely dumbfounded. Their eyes switch back and forth from me to Luhan. From me, to Luhan. It didn't make sense to them. Heck, it doesn't make sense to me. 

Kai clears his throat, "So uh... You guys are dating now?"

"Yeah," Luhan replies nonchalantly.

I still say nothing and stare back at Claire who tries to send me mixed messages with her eyes. "Why didn't you tell me?" "You're so lucky." "I can't believe this is true! But why didn't you tell me?"

Ha, well Claire, I didn't tell you because I didn't know either. I actually found out about 10 seconds ago. Just like you.

"Why aren't you saying anything, Lindy?" Kai asks.

Then I feel Luhan looking at me and smiling.

"You're my girlfriend, right?"

"Uh, uh, yeah! I'm his girlfriend! His one and only. His significant other! His one tr..."

Luhan covers my mouth with his hand.

"Yeah, she's my girlfriend!"

He laughs nervously and Kai and Claire both raise their eyebrows.

I lift my free hand and remove Luhan's hand from my mouth. This kid is going to get it when he takes me back home.

"Hey, so Claire and I need to buy something. We'll be just a minute."

I release my hand from Luhan's grip and pull Claire over to the other side of the store.

"Why didn't you tell me?!"

Well, I would have told you. Unfortunately, I found out 5 minutes ago! Now what am I supposed to do?! Tell her I'm not actually his girlfriend? No, that would ruin Luhan's plan to set up Claire and Kai. It would make this so called, "doubly date" really awkward. And Luhan will probably kill me. Eh, I'll just make something up. I'm actually quite curious myself to see what Luhan has planned.

"Uh, oh! I was going to tell you. But I…”

Before I get to finish my sentence, Luhan runs over to me and tugs at my arm.

“Hey uh, Lindy…can I talk to you?”

Perfect timing Luhan, perfect timing.  

“Yeah, sure…”

I’m definitely going to have a word with you. And make sure you get this straight, I am not happy right now.

Luhan pulls me over to the entrance of the store and inches his head closer to my face.

“You didn’t tell Claire that I’m setting her up with Kai, right?” he asks quietly.

“No, but I…”

He cuts me off again, “Okay, good. Don’t. Although, I guess they already figured that. Anyway, I was planning on going to the food court and leaving those two there. Then we can go somewhere together. Maybe go practice some more?”

“Yeah, sure, but…”

Again, he interrupts, “Great, let’s…”

“Would you stop interrupting me?!” I shout at him.

His eyes widen and he just looks at me and then the ground.

“Sorry,” he murmurs.

I take another breath before speaking.

“Okay, I get your whole idea of “setting Claire and Kai up.” But why? They don’t even like each other. And why do you need to send them off in order for us to go practice? Sure, I’d get it if they actually liked each other and there was nothing between us. But all of a sudden I’m your girlfriend?! You didn’t even ask! And you didn’t even say, “Oh, let’s pretend to date so that we can set up our friends!” No, you didn’t even mention that and now they’re both thinking that we’re actually dating when we’re not which causes even more problems. And then you tell me that someone would be crazy to reject me and then you kiss me!”
