I blink several times before looking at Kai and see him giving me an apoligetic smile.  Well... this just got really awkward.

"Kai..." I stutter, "I... I don't--"

He starts walking over me.  "Look, I know that you like Luhan, but I--"

"Wait, you know that I like Luhan?" I ask.

"Yeah, but...I like you too."

You've gotta be kidding me.  First, how does Kai know that I like Luhan?  I rarely ever talk to him.  Second of all, did he just...did he just confess to me?

I stare intently at Kai as he fidgets with his hands and stares at the ground.

"Kai, I... I don't..."

"I know you don't.  But I promise you that if you give me a chance, I won't let you down.  You're the most amazing, kind, and beautiful girl I have ever met.  I will always be here for you," Kai says with a soft smile.

He looks down and smiles to himself.  "I'll see you later.  Think about what I said, okay?"

Before I get a chance to respond, he walks to the other side of the main attraction and disappears behind a curve in the exit tunnel.

I sigh and suddenly remember the other piece of paper in my hand.  I look at it and walk over to an empty wall and pin the note.

"Luhan, I love you. -Lindy"

I'm sorry, Kai.  I like Luhan.

I walk back to the food court to find Luhan still sitting silently with Claire.

"Hey," I say to both of them.

"Hey!" Claire greets as she looks behind me.  "Where's Kai?"

I look at Luhan who looks down at his plate, picking at another piece of pizza.

"Uh, there was a bit of a complication..."

"Oh..."

"Hey Claire, did you drive here?" I ask.

"No, I didn't.  My mom had to come get something at one of the stores.  So she came with me.  But we can still take you home if you need a ride."

Luhan quickly looks up.  "But your car is still at my house."

Damn it.  I forgot about that.  I don't want Claire's mom to have to drive me to Luhan's house in order for me to pick up my car.  That would be sort of weird.  I could just wait until tomorrow to get my car.  But then when my Dad leaves for work tomorrow, he will definitely notice that my car isn't in the driveway.  That would cause some major problems.

Luhan speaks again, interrupting my thoughts.  "If you want to leave right now, I can drive you back to my house to pick up your car."

I look at Claire and she avoids my gaze.  Obviously she thinks it's a bad idea.  But I guess I don't really have much of a choice if I need to get my car.

"Uh, okay..." I say, accepting his offer.

"Okay," he says, getting up from his seat.

"I'll call you later," Claire says.

Luhan walks out of the food court and to his car as I trail behind him.

~~~~~
The ride home is silent.  Luhan doesn't bother to turn on the music and neither of us say anything.  Of course, why would I want to say anything anyway?  He doesn't like me and used me.  Two strikes in a day.  Then I guess I count the third for Kai's confession.  Three strikes, guys!  You broke a record!  And now that I think about it, it's strange why Luhan isn't saying anything.  He probably thinks he didn't do anything wrong!  He doesn't like me anyway!  So why is he so upset?
We arrive at his house and sit in silence as he takes the key out of the ignition.  Do I say something?
"Are you coming tomorrow?" he asks.
Well I guess I have to, don't I?
"Yeah..."
Although I wish I didn't have to.  It's really stupid
We sit for another minute, avoiding eye contact.
I feel so angry, but I also feel upset.  He used me.  Well, actually, I'm not really sure.  He set up Kai and Claire...which he could have done by himself.  Forget it.  I'll just... look for someone else.
I sigh.  "Thanks for the ride..."
He looks up at me.  "Hm? Oh sure. No problem."
I get out of his car and walk over to mine and unlock the door.  I try to resist my urge to look back at Luhan as I get into my car.  Unfortunately, it doesn't work and I look up only to find that he has been watching me the entire time.  I quickly look down at the steering wheel and put my key into the ignition and drive away, keeping my eyes concentrated on the road.
