Exit Statement

That talk with Rae was everything I didn't even know he had a painful past. I got him to open to me. Something he had nerve told me before. Hell he even cried. Now the gun was just there for protection and to scare him. I hate I had to go that far but Rae was a lot to deal with. But everything he was telling me. All was the reason he was the man he was today.

"Well Rae don't you think you want to change for the better?!"

"Why so everyone can leave me!"

He said wiping his eyes.

"No...so they won't leave you. Like me...Rae I really do love you but you got to let me go."

"Bruh fuck nah you not leaving me."

He said grabbing me by my arm. As much as I feared Rae I was surprised that this time I wasn't. I have countless of times before tried bucking the system but that was all false courage. Finally getting to know what makes him tick. I'm not afraid anymore. I hurt for him.

"Rae do you love me?"

"Yes. I do."

He said pacing back and forth.

"Well love me enough to want better for me."

"Bruh hell nah___!"

"RAE!"

I raised my voice above a whisper.

"Rae look at us please...see what we have come too."

I spoked pointing to the gun laying on the bed.

"Rae this not a healthy relationship at all and the only thing that will make us better...if one of us is dead."

"Bruh fuck that! You wanna leave me to be with that nigga!"

Rae said grabbing the gun. He pressed it against my head. Have you ever seen one of those movies that the couple love was so deadly that they both end up dead? I felt like this was it, turning the gun he hit me with the butt of it. Knocking me off balance I tripped over my own two feet hitting the floor.

"Alex I been through too much shit for you just to up and leave me. Nigga I'll kill you before you leave me!"

He shouted. Pulling myself up I sat on the bed wiping the blood from the side of my face.

"Rae...I'm tired."

"Fuck you mean nigga!"

"Of this...of us. Honestly shoot. I wanna be with my mom anyway."

"Bruh shut the fuck up!"

"No Rae shoot me please."

I said getting closer pressing the gun against my chest.

"Rae I love you...but I'm done with you. So shoot."

Another tear rode down Rae face. Seeing him cry like this I really felt bad for him.

"You not leaving me."

"Rae...it's over."

I whispered in his ear. Saying that I closed my eyes and Rae let off in too me. I couldn't believe it.

"What the Fuck!!!"

He shouted. Dropping to his knees he screamed and shouted. Slowly opening my eyes. I felt my torso not a single bullet. I removed the bullets before coming to see him. I knew out of anger and rage Rae couldn't take no for an answer.

So I had to be willing to risk my life for him. Wrapping his arms around my legs he poured. I couldn't believe someone so mighty and strong as RaeMal could fold and crumble. I stepped aside and walked over to the bed. Grabbing my bag I walked up to him. Giving him a kiss, I knew that Rae wasn't gonna be the same anymore. We were closer than ever now.

"Bae...look I love you and we can do this together but you got to let me go. Ima always be here you. But right now, I got to live for myself."

"Bruh I love you I don't want you to go."

"I know...I know."

I said pulling him to his feet.

I embraced him. He held me tight in his arms with his face buried in my neck.

"I love you"

"I love you too."

I replied pulling away to leave. It was getting late in the evening. I called up tabby to come pick me up. We laughed and talked all the way back to my house. I just needed some laughter in my life at this moment. Pulling. Up I felt like I jumped out the pot into the frying pan. Tobias was sitting on my porch.

"Oooo HunnTi you need to get control of your men."

"Girl hush...bye I see you tomorrow."

I said hugging her. I took a deep breath as she pulled off. This was not turning into a pleasant evening for me. Walking up the porch I turned up my nose at him.

"Hey..."

He said, I ignored him and walked in the house. Shutting the door behind me I proceed to the kitchen for something to drink. Ringing the doorbell Lamont went to answer it and let Tobias in.

"Umm you have a guest Alex."

"It's nobody...he can leave."

"Umm....yea it seems___."

I just walked off to my room. Tobias trailed behind me pushing threw my room door slamming it behind him.

"You know this call trespassing, right?!"

"Well you being a lil bitch!"

"Woah language...My auntie doesn't like profanity."

I said laying across my bed.

"Why the fuck you acting like this."

"And that is..."

I said sticking my neck out like I was confused.

"Nigga...yo attitude fuck you giving me it for."

"O that pssh...I don't know I woke up out a coma and was like aye Ima be mad at Tobias just for gp"

Tobias was steaming, and I didn't give a damn. I wanted him to hurt like I was.

"Bruh I waited for you."

"Not long enough I guest."

" what the Fuck for real nigga! I wasn't gonna wait forever!"

"I know that but You could of at least gave me the FUCKING Satisfaction of waking up to see yo ass and have a what if moment."

"Well I'm sorry...shit don't happen like that."

"You right It don't...and in my reality nigga you don't exist."

I shot back at him.

"So what you saying we not cool...just like that."

"No what I'm saying is Fuck you Tobias...After tomorrow I ain't got to see your face ever again."

"Shit ight...what's going on tomorrow."

Ask the man downstairs...I'm done talking."

I said pointing for him to exit my room.
