Victoire's PoV

When I got home on Wednesday, a message was on my phone.

Hey, I got a list of what you need to pack.

*Bedding for the bus
*Everyday clothes (About 10 outfits)
*A couple fancy dresses

*Bathroom stuff

*Phone charger and stuff

*Laptop

*A club to beat Mitch who keeps telling me to write "a better attitude than Avi"
*Shoes

*Stuff for plane rides

I packed everything he said into two suitcases and added my laptop case to the pile. It wasn't too much stuff. I looked at the time and realized I had some time before bed. I opened Netflix on my phone and watched as many episodes as I could before I passed out of exhaustion.

It was my last day at home so I tried to look acceptable. Plus, Pentatonix was performing for our school. I was literally the only person to know. I threw on a floral dress and flats before my mom called me down to breakfast. We never ate breakfast together, but it was a special occasion.
"Did you pack your dance bag?" Mom asked.

"Sure did," I answered as I ate some eggs. I looked at the clock. "It's time to go," I said sadly.

I hugged Mom and Dad. "I love you, I'll see you tonight."
I grabbed my dance bag and ran out the door with Andrew hot on my heels.

The bus was crowded. I hit about 10 kids with my two bags before I made it to my seat next to Charlotte. "You're dressed up," Charlotte said as we situated my bag at our feet.
"You never know when something amazing might happen," I answered.
She rolled her eyes and I rested my head on her shoulder.

Jeremy met us at the door. "It's a cut-schedule!" he exclaimed.

"Why?" Charlotte asked.

"Assembly," he said a bit less excited.

"Eh, I'm sure it'll be fine," I answered as we headed to class.

I felt my phone buzz and saw another text from Avi.

What's your favorite PTX song?

I replied Misbehavin'.

At the end of 7th period an announcement came on. "Grade 9 report to the auditorium."

This was it. We were being called down to the concert. Except no one else knew it was a concert.

"Grade 10 the the auditorium."

Almost.

"Grade 11 to the auditorium."

I jumped up and practically ran to the auditorium. I made sure to grab a seat in the front row and pulled Charlotte along with me.
"You will never cease to amaze me," she laughed.

Ms. Phillips walked onto our stage. "One of our pupils has been asked to do something very special. She has been asked to go on tour with Pentatonix." A few gasps were let out. "The group has graciously agreed to perform for us.

"Who is she?" people screamed. Ms. Phillips just smiled and quieted the crowd.

"All will be revealed," she said smugly. She walked off the stage and left us in the darkness.

Suddenly we heard vocals and snapping. "A million miles away and I'm still thinking 'bout my baby." They chose my song. I smiled like an idiot and sang along to the entire song. When it was over the entire student body cheered. Avi went up to a microphone.

"As you know we've chosen someone to go on tour with us. I know you're all probably wondering who it is." The school cheered and Avi looked me in the eye. I nodded.

"Victoire come up here."

"Shut up!" Charlotte gasped. I smiled at her and she laughed in shock.

I walked up and stood by Avi. Everyone was still in shock as the six of us exited. "Do you want a ride to your dance class?" Mitch and Scott asked me.

"Yeah," I just need to stop by my locker really quick." I hugged the rest of the group and ran into the locker room and grabbed my bag. The three of us needed to escape while the rest of the group were being asked questions.

I had a schedule to keep!

I hopped in the back of their car and they drove me to the small studio. I walked up to the building and pulled on the door. "Ugh, it's locked," I moaned.

"Hop back in and we'll drive around a bit." I agreed and got back into their car.

"We still don't know much about you," Mitch said.

"Well, what do you want to know?" I asked.

"What's your favorite Starbucks drink?" Mitch asked.

"Favorite TV show?" Scott asked.

"Dark side or Light side?" Mitch asked.

"Do you sleep on your back?" Scott asked.

I answered as soon as they stopped talking. "Caramel Frappuchino, Sherlock, Dark, and no that's nasty," I replied.

"Oh, I see a car!" I exclaimed and they pulled into the parking lot.

"Thanks, Scott. Thanks, Mom," I said as I hopped out of the car.

I ran into the building and waited for class to start.

******************

"Miss Holly may I talk to you?" I asked once class was over.
"Of course, Victoire," she replied while taking off her pointe shoes.

"I'm afraid I'm not going to be in class for a while. I was asked to go on tour with Pentatonix. It was last a couple months and even longer if I choose to go on the world tour with them," I said.

She pursed her lips. "The only thing that might interfere is recital practice. I can send you choreography but that won't help if you're not there for recital."

I quickly pulled out my phone and texted Avi.

What dates are we back home in between tours?

February 12-21

I let out a sigh of relief. "We'll be back by then."

She nodded. "You're dismissed. I smiled and ran out of the studio.

Mom (my actual mom, not Mitch) was waiting outside for me. I got into the passenger seat and told her about everything that happened.
