Victoire's PoVWe had reached the last few tour dates. We had two left before we all flew back home. I, of course, had my recital to look forward to, plus a week of actual school. Weird. We were set to arrive at our venue soon, but we were all getting antsy.
"We still have Europe!" Kevin said happily.
Kirstie nodded while eating a bag of popcorn. When we reached the venue, we were all ready to get out of the bus. We all started stretching, happy to be outside.
"How long until sound check?" I asked as we walked into the huge venue.
Avi looked at his watch. "About two hours."
I nodded. "I'm going to practice my choreography until then. If you need me, follow the music." I ran around the venue until I found a large empty room. I pulled out my phone and watched the choreography my dance instructor had sent me. I played Light In The Hallway and stretched to the slow melody. After I was fully stretched, I began working on my routine to the I See Fire cover by Zyrah. I first practiced without my pointe shoes. I got the first 30 seconds of it memorized and pulled on my shoes. Before I could dance again, I had to stretch with the shoes. I began the beginning of the routine and must have lost time, because when I ended my routine, I heard clapping. I turned to the door to see the band and Esther clapping. I blushed and paused my music.
"Time for sound check," Esther said. I grabbed my camera case and put my phone in one of the pockets. I guess I would be taking pictures in pointe shoes.
"You're a great dancer!" Kirstie commented as we were walking."I thought you were really going to hurt yourself when you dropped," Scott pointed out.
"Oh, it hurt," I explained.
"Wow," Scott said in disbelief.
"Have you ever rolled an ankle?" I asked. "Torture."We made it to sound check and I pulled out my camera. Sound check went by without a check and we moved over to Meet and Greet. I still had my pointe shoes on, which made it easier to get higher angles, which was a plus. After I was done taking pictures of everyone, Esther called over a tech guy and pushed me into the picture along with herself. We got a serious picture with all of us cheesing it up.
"Let's do a funny one!" Kirstie yelled.
Kirstie and Scott began to fake fight. Mitch posed fabulously and Esther hopped on Kevin's back. I was beside Avi so I quickly kicked my leg up, pretending to hit him, and he super-frowned at me. The camera clicked and we looked at the picture. It was fantastic! The band had to go to makeup next. Kirstie was getting a dark eye makeup with a bright red lipstick. She looked fantastic! While the band was getting their makeup done, I worked on my choreography. Before long, it was time for Pentatonix to go on. I took some pictures and enjoyed the performance. About halfway through, I went backstage to take off my pointe shoes. I put my camera away and put everything together for when it was time to leave. When the show was over, we all went backstage to eat some food the crew had brought us. They had gotten a bunch of pizzas, cake, and ice cream. We sat on the couches and ate,
"What should the next Superfruit video be?" Mitch asked."Something about dragons," Avi suggested.
"You could do a medley," Kevin said."That's a good idea," Scott said.
"What abut doing each other's makeup?" Kirstie suggested.
"We'll do the makeup one this week and the medley next week," Mitch decided.
We all sat together, eating. Kirstie and Scott lightly sang the chorus to Misbehavin'. Before long, everyone joined in. The band sang their parts and everyone else made up their own harmonies. Esther tried to beat-box. Before long, we were in a fit of giggles.
"Cake!" Avi yelled. He stood up and got a piece. He took a small bite before turning around and shoving it in Esther's face.
Esther gasped and immediately retaliated. Scott and Mitch began throwing it at each other. Kirstie got Darien and I was laughing so hard I couldn't breathe. I felt myself being picked up and realized that Kevin was holding me upside down.
"Let me down!" I laughed. Avi came over and smashed cake in my face. I swung a few fake punches at him and he just pulled me over his shoulders. I was laughing hysterically as Avi swung me around. He eventually let me down and I ran to the cake only to fall. Avi tried to help me up, but I was quicker. I smashed some cake in his face.
Kirstie ran over to me and got some icing in my hair when I wasn't looking. I threw a piece at her, but missed and hit Scott instead. Scott slowly turned around and ran over and hugged me, smearing cake all over my clothes. I shrieked loudly and wiped my hands on his face.
When everything was over, everyone was covered in cake. We all got in a picture that we put on Facebook and Instagram. We all began cleaning up the floor, still having fun nonetheless. After that, we all had to take showers and change clothes before we could get on the bus.
After our entire ordeal, everyone was beat. The crew all loaded up onto one bus and we got onto ours. I was exhausted.
Kevin's PoV
I was about to climb into bed as I heard a loud thump. It sounded like it was coming from the bathroom, so I checked there. Sure enough, Victoire was asleep, leaning against the sink. I turned off the water and the light and carried her back to bed. "Night, Vic." I crawled into my own bed and quickly fell asleep.
