Victoire's PoV

It was around 2:00 and we were trying to figure out where to go next. Avi, Kevin, and I wanted to go on Expedition Everest. Esther and Mitch wanted to go on the safari again. Kirstie and Scott wanted to go on Kali River Rapids.

"Let's just split up and meet next to the Tree of Life," Esther suggested. We all agreed and split up. Avi, Kevin, and I headed towards Expedition Everest. The line was fairly short and we finally got onto the ride. It started up and we raced off. Suddenly, something started popping and the car came to an abrupt stop. I slammed into my chest harness and then slumped back in my seat.

"You guys okay?" Kevin asked.

"Yeah," I choked out. I looked over the side and saw that we were over a section of the ride between the two mountains. There was nothing below us but a track.

"I'm sure they have it under control," Kevin said reassuringly.

"Yeah. They'll have this running in no time," Avi added.

Wrong.

It had been at least an hour before anything happened. A voice rang out telling us to remain calm and that they were handling it. I held on to my chest harness and tried to remain calm. Avi's phone rang and he answered it quickly.

"Yes, we're alright," he said into the phone. "No, Kirstie, we're fine. They're working on it. Uh, huh. No, I don't know how they're going to get us down. Bye."

He hung up the phone and we waited some more. Finally, the intercom came on again. "We will be evacuating the ride momentarily. We will start from the back."

A giant thing came driving towards us. There was a man in it, steering the machine. He drove it to the last row of people and the box extended upwards. The harnesses unstrapped and he carefully helped them into the box. This went on for at least an hour before he made it to us. Kevin got out first, and then Avi. I carefully stood up and walked to the end of the ride. I looked over the side and saw a high drop. There was a giant gap in between the ride and the box.

Avi and Kevin held out their hands and I grabbed them. I took a large step and got one foot onto the box. Suddenly, my knee gave out and my other foot slipped over the edge. I screamed loudly as my I began to slip. Kevin wrapped one of his arms around me and lifted me onto the box.  I grabbed onto the two of them and began sobbing.

Avi rubbed my back as we slowly descended to the ground. When we got to the bottom, the rest of our group ran towards us. I stepped out of the box and Esther ran over to me. She looked at us and demanded to know what happened. She wrapped her arms around me and Kevin and Avi explained how I literally almost died.

Esther let go of me in shock. "She almost fell off?"  she seethed. Avi nodded. Esther balled her fists. "Are you alright?" she asked calmly. I nodded.

"Let's go home, yeah?" Scott asked.

We took a train home and all gathered in Scott and Mitch's apartment. They practiced some of their songs for the cruise and I played on my phone. Esther was on her computer. A phone rang out and Esther answered. After a few minutes, she slammed the phone down.

"A reporter wants to interview Kevin and Avi," she said coldly.

Kevin and Avi agreed and left to be interviewed. They came back two hours later with McDonald's. We ate while Spongebob played on the TV. When we finished, we all left to our rooms and fell asleep.
