Esther's PoVIt had been a long week for all of us, but the cruise still sounded appealing. All the band had to do would be play once a night and relax for the rest of it. I was just hoping that no one would get hurt and almost fall to their death.
We walked over the platform and onto the ship. Many Disney workers were there as we boarded. Scott and Mitch entered first.
"What's the name of your family?" A crew member asked them.
"Grassi-Hoying," Scott said happily.
"Everyone welcome the Grassi-Hoying family!" the lady shouted.
Kirstie and Kevin went in next. "We're the Smiths," they said with a small laugh.
They called their names and then Kirstie and Kevin walked away quickly.
"What's the name of your family, dears?" the lady asked.
"We're the Kaplan family," I answered.
"All welcome the Kaplan family!" she shouted. Victoire, Avi, and I boarded the ship and met up with the others.

January 6, 2017
Victoire's birthday rolled around and we definetely used it to our advantage. At 3:32 in the morning (her mom told us when she was born on the condition that we record her reaction) we barged into her room with a plate of cookies we ordered from room service and party hats Scott somehow managed to sneak in.
"SURPRISE!" we shouted and she jumped up.
She instinctively reached for her phone and turned on the flashlight. When she saw it was us, she lowered her phone and ran to give us a hug. Kevin turned on the lights and we all had a group hug.
"Look what we brought," Kirstie said in a sing-song voice. Kevin pulled out the cookies and her eyes lit up. She immediately grabbed one and took a huge bite out of it.
"Thank you guys," she said as she hugged us once more.
"Just you wait, Victoire, this is going to be the best birthday you ever had," I told her confidently.
"Well, you've already surpassed my 8th birthday," she said before taking another bite of cookie.
"What happened?" Avi asked before also taking a bite of cookie.
"I fell on ice and broke my arm."
Avi nodded respectively.
We stayed and talked for about an hour. Then, I decided we needed to let her get some rest. We all went back to our cabins and slept until 10. Once morning rolled around, we all got ready and went up to breakfast. Victoire was pumped and had already managed to down two cups of coffee, tweet about it, and then Instagram a photo of her waffle before the rest of us sat down.
"You, my friend, are very going to be very hyper," Mitch said with a laugh.
Once we finished our breakfast, we got to go to out to the beach. Victoire ran to the ocean and pulled Kevin into the water with her. I sat down in the sand and began to read. Avi, Scott, and Mitch started playing in the sand and Kirstie ran into the water after Victoire and Kevin.
They splashed around for a while before returning to the beach. Victoire sat down beside Avi and helped them with their sand castle. Kirstie laid out a towel and began to tan. Kevin worked on burying Avi in sand.
"Done!" Scott and Mitch yelled out happily.
They stared proudly at their beautiful sandcastle. "Let me get a picture," I said as I pulled out my phone. They all posed beside the castle and I posted it on Instagram.
Avi went to stand up, but failed, as Kevin had successfully covered him in sand. Kevin laughed and ran off as Avi struggled to remove all of the sand. He eventually escaped and chased after Kevin. They splashed around in the water for a while before Kevin admitted defeat and ran back to our group.
I looked over and saw Victoire and Mitch lying on their backs, cloud watching.
"I'm calling bull. That's totally a dragon," Victoire said, pointing to a cloud.
"Did I hear 'dragon'?" Avi asked as he ran back to us.
"Yeah, look," Victoire said, pointing to the cloud.
"You're right. That is a dragon," Avi agreed.
Mitch laughed and continued watching the clouds.
"Is Kirstie asleep?" Scott laughed.
"She was tanning," I said.
"What time does the boat take off?" Avi asked.
"5," Kevin said.
"Well, it's one now," I start. "How about we go back, get some lunch, and then we can do whatever you want?" I ask.
Everyone agrees and we wake up Kirstie. "I hope I'm not burnt," she says with a small laugh.
"Wait!" I say. "We need a picture!"
Victoire gets on Kevin's shoulders, as well as Mitch on Scott. Avi cradles Kirstie and I take a few pictures. When Kevin puts Victoire down, he writes in the sand, "Happy Birthday, Victoire - 2017." They wrap their arms around each other and I got a picture of them all mid-laugh.
"That's perfect!" I exclaim.
Once back on the ship, we go up to the buffet and eat a quick lunch. "What now?" we ask Victoire.
"We can ride bikes on the beach?" she suggests.
We all happily agreed and went to rent some bikes. We took a long ride and stopped at the end to find a lighthouse-type building. We climb up it and admire the view until another group comes along.
After returning to the boat, we all got a shower and got dressed. Turned out Kirstie and Victoire got sunburns. They both got dressed in tank tops and shorts. We found out that they were playing a Disney movie in the main part of the ship and we found seats and waited for the movie to start.
They played The Little Mermaid and everyone sand along to all of the songs. Once it was over, we went up to eat dinner before the group had to perform. We ate a wonderful meal before heading over to the theater where Pentatonix played every night. Victoire and I got front row seats and enjoyed every second of the performance.
Afterwards, we all went to Scott and Mitch's cabin and ordered room service. They brought us Mickey Ice Cream bars and we all scattered across the cabin. Victoire sat outside on the balcony with the door open.
"Has this been the best birthday ever, yet?" Kirstie asked.
"Um, give me a second," she said in mock thought. "Of course!"
She jumped up and gave us all a hug.
We put in a movie and eventually all fall asleep on the floor.
