I glared at part of our texted conversation from last night. This is something I didn't think would happen yet. So I'm a little excited to spend time with her! 'It' is still bugging me...I've tried constantly to forget what happened before but it keeps coming back into my head...Missing Brazil's practice, late to the game...leaving without a goodbye...and, the kiss. It's not like her at all, she's usually more honest than this... STOP! I need to stop! I'll drive myself insane if I keep thinking about it. Let's just enjoy the time we'll have today. It's Friday, all the captains are busy today doing interviews for the press. We've got 2 more days till the quarter finals. So I should relax and enjoy how much time I have. Right now, I'm at Coffeemania enjoying 'the usual' waiting to see my favorite players and their interviews. I looked down from the TV and scrolled through my phone, seeing any news updates on the players. It's funny to see the type of articles the media comes up with.

"Zack!! I'm here!" I heard a familiarly feminine shout.

"You got lost didn't you?" I teased Maria, still staring at my phone looking at world cup articles.

"It's not my fault! You can blame this guy." She said putting the blame on someone else. I nearly spat out my Frappuccino. Wait...who?

Looking up, I saw Marc Bartra, standing right next to her and I froze.

What the hell am I supposed to do?? I thought she wanted to hangout ALONE. This is not good...keep calm Zack, you can do this. This is not good!!!!

"Actually I wanted to introduce you! This is Marc Bartra! He plays for the Spain national team." She introduced keeping her voice to a minimum so no one could hear her say his name.

"Oh! That's cool! Nice to meet you!" I acted like I didn't know him, staying positive as we both shook hands.

"I'm---." "Zack...Maria's talked so much about you." He interrupted me and finished my sentence which kind of irritated me. I barely even got to introduce myself... and they both took a seat.

"Sooo Maria, You didn't tell me you had a super famous soccer player boyfriend!?" I teased being a little annoyed by the current situation.

"Oh, Um....he's not my boyfriend...we're...just friends." She reassured but slowly said. Strange...

"Interesting...so how did you two meet?" I probed.

"Well, it was during my first year in College... I traveled to the United States to learn English, and traveled to Spain to learned Spanish as well. Anyway, Just as I was moving into my hotel, I bumped into him, carrying too much stuff. He offered to help, showed me around, and helped me learn Spanish faster. I still have things to learn, but through it all, we became good friends. I didn't think I'd see him again after I left... But here we are now! And it turns out he's a famous player! It's that crazy?" She smiled.

"Right..." I glared.

"But enough about us! Neymar told me everything about last night! So it's true that you met with your mother again?" Maria looked at me eager to hear some answers.
