"Let's eat!!" Neymar and I shouted as our food got severed to us.
"This is going to be good!!" He said rubbing his hands together.
I took us both to bakery store where Neymar could finally get the thing that he had been wanting to try for the longest.
A Vatrushka.
He was practically drooling over it, but I just smiled. I'm still a little torn up, but overall I'm in good spirits today. Hanging out with my best friend for most of the day, talking, laughing, and having a good time was a refresher from all the current stress. Even though my left eye is bandaged it the moment... Covering it while it heals was probably the best decision, I kept getting stares from random people and it was beginning to annoy the hell out of me. Like, what's wrong? A man can't walk around with a black eye? The nerve of some people... However, there is something else that's been bothering me...something that Neymar said last night concerning Maria and Marc. 'She might regret this later'. I continued thinking about it, wondering what he meant by that exactly.
"Hey Neymar." I called to him.
"What's up?" He replied back while eating his food.
"About last night, about Maria. What did you mean when you said 'She might regret this later'?" I revealed my thoughts to him. He instantly paused, right in the middle of eating.
"Oh, you know. Maybe she'll realize you were the better guy to be with or something." He nervously answered.
"Neymar...You know as well as I do that we can tell if one of us is lying pretty quickly. Just be honest about this." I reassured to him.
"Ok fine, I didn't want to say this because I didn't want you to overreact about it. But Marc already has a girlfriend." He said. I immediately jumped up.
"How do you expect me NOT to overreact about that! Why didn't you say anything sooner!?" I raised my voice as slammed the table.
"See...you're doing it now." Neymar pointed out and I quickly sat back down.
"To be honest with you, I'm not even sure what Marc is thinking, but whatever those two had in the past, is in the past." He said while continuing to eat in a focused manner.
"You're right, but she made her decision. She wants to go away..." I replied coldly. Neymar looked up from his plate, surprised by what I said.
"I mean...It's obvious that you still like her." He said, still eating.
"No, I don't. She likes Marc. If going to Spain makes her THAT happy then she should just it." I looked at the ground.
"You still like her..." he pressured.
"I don't!" I slightly raised my voice.
"Then who are you lying to Zack? Me or yourself? What hurts you the most isn't 'the kiss' anymore! It's the fact that she's going to go away and you won't be able to see her again. Do you want that to happen?" Neymar simply said. My eyes bulged and I looked away. Neymar read my mind.
