"No Rey, we can make this work."
"No we can't. It's in the past!"
"Rey I love you!"
"Well I don't, I can't." I picked up my hand. "Now it's over." I took a page out of my Grandfathers book and used a force choke on him.
I immediately shot up from bed, and realized it was just a dream. I took several deep breaths. My face was sweating, forming small curls in loose hairs around my face. I looked at the clock, 3 am. I had to get back to sleep. Only I couldn't. This same dream had happened for the past week. I stood up and walked to the restroom. I turned on the sink and splashed cold water on my face.
"Rey?" my dad ask, crap, he heard me. "Why are you up?"
"I had a bad dream."
"Again? This is your 4th one this week."
"7th" I whispered.
"Rey, I think it's time for the talk."
"Um, no thanks. I over heard some mom giving it to her son."
"Not that talk. Obi wan had this one with me." Dad lead me to the couch, "what is the prime reason behind your nightmares?"
"Finn," I whispered.
"Ben Solo?" I guess it really sounded off.
"No, Finn, the other day, he kissed me."
"Did you kiss back?"
"No. I made sure not to."
"That's good. Have you told anyone else?"
"I told Aunt Leia."
"Oh."
"For some people telling other people about the problem, and it prevents the nightmares."
"Are there any other ways?"
"I don't know, however your grandfather had nightmares. That started his fear, which leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. And hate leads to suffering. Concluding fear is the path to the dark side." I nodded.
"What if my nightmares don't end?"
"Than will have to find a new solution. But I think," he took a breathe, "you need to talk to Finn in the morning. I'll come with you if you want."
"Thanks, but I think it should be just me."
     "Now go back to sleep."
"Just one question. If Jedi's can't love, why do I exist?"
Dad starred lifelessly for a minute. He took a breathe. "Don't take this the wrong way, but it was a mistake. I went to a pub, and had some death sticks. Your mom and I were never married. We were both Jedi's and to protect our reputations, we left you on Jakku."
I nodded. I was a little disappointed, but kept it quiet and went back to bed.
The Next Morning
I woke up and took a breath. It was time to go talk with Finn. I knew I had to look anything but attractive. No makeup, messy bun, joggers. I walked out into the kitchen and towards the door.
"You aren't going anywhere," my dad said.
"Why?"
"Kylo Ren is after us. As your teacher, you aren't ready to fight him."
"Dad! Last time I fought him, I gave him a scar!"
I walked over to my room, and looked out the window. It was only about a 15 foot drop. Dad and I had worked on force jumps. I was gonna do it. I couldn't wait until who knows when to talk to Finn. I heard a knock on my door. I had mixed emotions when I saw Finn's face. Sure I wanted to talk to him, but it was also the last thing I wanted to do.
"Your dad said, we should talk," he said.
    "Yeah," I said.
    "So we kissed."
"Really? I didn't notice," I joked, "oh, ok, be serious now."
"And we both liked it. What are we?"
"Finn we are nothing! I signed the Jedi code!"
"So wait, now we're not even friends?!"
"Fine maybe friends, but nothing more!"
   "One day?"
"No! If it were last year, before I knew about the force, I'd be with you, but it's not!" I had to get out of here, than I remembered the window. I turned around and opened it up.
"Rey wait!" Finn loudly yelled. I didn't listen. The funny part is, the jump went perfect. I stood up and ran, however I quickly found myself face to face with Kylo Ren.
"Shot her," he said, just as I turned around only to be shoot by a large number of storm-troopers.
