The Unwanted Demigod

Chaptet 2

(Percy)

I am in my room packing some stuff to take on the trip. My packback, ambrosia, nectar, clothes, water, and food. I think that's it.

While I am packing I think about how our last adventure in helping Grover with two demigods went. It didn't go well. We lost Annabeth and had to go save her and Artemis, the goddess of the hunt. Hopefully it doesn't happen again.

I hear a knock on the door I get my stuff and head towards the door. I open it to reveal Annabeth.

"Hey where is Nico," I asked looking around.

"He is on the hill waiting for us," she responded while heading towards the hill.

"You know it's not going to happen again, Percy. Don't worry we will be fine," said Annabeth reassuringly.

"I know I just don't want to lose you again," I said to her.

"You won't," she smiled at me and I smiled back.

When we got to the hill their was Nico waiting."You ready," he asked.

"Sure, so how do we get their?" I asked.

Nico just smirked and spread out his hands."Shadow Travel of course. How else?"

"If it's the only way," Annabeth responded.

We grabbed Nico's hands and were engulfed with darkness. Color filled the scenery around us now that we have arrived. I had no idea where we were. "Where are we?"

"Fresno, California its close to Dinuba." Nico responded.

"Okay lets we will catch a bus and get to Dinuba. It's Friday, September 7:50 in the morning here so if Grover went to a school the demigods must be students and should be going to school too. We just need to find out what school."

She turned to me, "Percy, you think you could get hold of Grover through your mind link."

"I could try." I concentrated on contacting Grover.

Hey Grover. You there buddy.

I waited a bit. Then I heard a voice inside my head.

Yeah Percy. I am here man.

You think you could tell me where you are at.

Sure I am at Dinuba High School. Right in the center

Okay thanks

I shut off the connection and turned towards the group. Annabeth had a face filled with curiosity and Nico had a face with boredom.

"Well, what did he say," Nico asked impatiently. He was still really confused as to why he has to be here.
I told them what Grover told me.

"Well let's go then, " said Annabeth.

We started walking towards who knows where.

Dinuba isn't really big, but we did get lost once in a while. This grocery man gave us information about a bus that would be leaving soon to somewhere near the school. Of course we got delayed by monsters. A few cyclops, dracaena, and hellhounds. Luckily it wasn't too difficult. Finally we got to our stop. We got off. Their was a hair salon close by so we asked for direction there. It wasn't really that far, only a few blocks. If Annabeth was correct we get there when school gets dismissed, 3:00.

I have to remind myself that nothing will ever go our way. Guess what had to interfere.

The Furies!!! Yah!!!

"What do you want," Nico demanded.

"Oh were not here for you, puny demigods," said the furie that I recognized as Ms. Dodds.

"Well then what are you doing here," questioned Annabeth.

"None of your business," snarled Ms. Dodds sister.

"Well if you'll excuse us we have to be somewhere," I said walking forward.

"No can do, Sweetie. You see, you are in our way so we have to get rid of you."

"I order you not to and return back to the Underworld," Nico snarled.

"We haven't come because your father order us to."

"Then who?" Nico yelled back.

"Wait a minute," yelled Annabeth. I kinda jumped because she had kept quiet. "You said we were in your way so that means you must be after what we are after. You're after the two demigods aren't you."

"Good job daughter of Athena," sneered Ms. Dodds other sister.

"But of course, you aren't going to back down," Ms. Dodds looked back at her sisters, "Attack!"

The trouble. The god damn trouble.
