(Ashely)

The news was shocking, but makes sense. That's why no one ever spoke of my mom. People didn't know her. And she just happens to be a goddess. Which goddess? I don't know. It also, explains why Ms Ramos is Greek crazy. I just thought it was a religion that she practiced or something. But no its more than that apparently.

I walk in to that step adults apartment. I quickly and quietly go inside and into my room. I grab my backpack and filled it with clothes. I grab my savings that I earned from small jobs. I grab a box from under my dresser and take out a bracelet. It was my dad's the only object that survived the fire. It was a silver chain with a pendant shaped like a moon. I never put it on afraid that the cavemen will see it and take it. I stuff it in my pocket and grab my back pack heading for the door.

There was a surprise for me behind the door. "Where do you think your going," said the step woman. Next her stood step man.

"None of your business, that's where," I told her straight out. I tried to go around them but step man grabbed my arm. Something sharp pierced my skin. I turn to look at my arm to see a green slimy hand with large claws. Okay I know they are nasty, but I did not think this nasty. I look up to see what looks like snake like face/head. I expected to see cave people their instead it was these two snake like women with a snake with legs and a big tail.

And yes I did say women

Two snake like women standing in the same location as the cave people. I tug on my arm and a painful sting shot through me. I yelled loudly, probably heard through out the whole building. "Where do you think you are going."

"Away from you, that's where," I yelled into her face. Can you say guts or stupidity.

"I don't think so," the one that use to be step woman. She raised her claws and toward my face. If I had not move I would have been scarred or dead. It hit my left cheek as I turned my head to the right. I kicked step man (who still had my arm) in the shin.

He/she yelled and let go. While I took it my opportunity to drop a small table in front of step woman's path. I ran for the door with my back pack on my shoulders and bracelet in my pocket. When I took 3 steps I was hit by something and I flew back. Hitting a wall. I vision was dizzy and tried concentrating. One of the lizard things lunge at me, but before it could it hit me it turned into dust. A roar exploded around me. My vision cleared a bit. Enough to see Percy with a golden sword, Nico with a black sword, Annabeth with a dagger, and Alex standing in shock.

The other snake lady lunged at them. Nico stabbed her through the chest turning her into a pile of dust. Alex ran up to me, helping me stand. "I swear I was pretty sure the were cave people. Not snake ladies."

"Let's go we have to get out," demanded Annabeth.

"Okay, chill," I told her, which got pretty angry. I went over to collect my backpack.

"Nico, do you think you could shadow travel us there. I don't want any more monster problems," asked Percy. Practically begging.

"Sure," was his answer.

"So, where're we going and what is shadow travel?" I asked enthusiastically. Nico turned to me with a smirk. He grabed my hand, "You'll see." He walked into the corner of the room. His eyes were the last thing I saw before we were surrounded by darkness.
