The Unwanted Demigod

Chapter 8

I came back to the living room to see Mom in deep discussion with the demigods. When they saw me coming back with my luggage, they became quiet.

"So we are just waiting for the girl, now," said Annabeth kinda harsh. I do not think she likes her very much.

We jumped to some yelling. I recognized the yell as Ashely. "It's Ashely. She's in trouble." I told the demigods, running out of my apartment and towards hers. We heard a crash of furniture. I tried to open the door, but it was locked.

"Step back," said Nico. I stepped to the side as Nico struck the door knob and with his sword. We instantly heard a bang as we stepped inside. A lizard like woman had her claws raised. Ready to strike at Ashely who was leaning against the wall in a daze.

Before the reptile lady could strike though Percy jumped into action stabbing the reptile lady with his sword.

The other reptile lady (yes their is two) lunged at us, but Nico stabbed her in the chest. I ran to her helping her stand. "I swear I was pretty sure they were cave people. Not snake ladies," said Ashely.

"Let's go we have to get out, " demanded Annabeth.

"Okay, chill," spoke Ashely.

Their was more talking until there was an agreement that we would arrive at our destination by using Nico's shadow travel. Whatever that is. We all grabed hands, I had no idea what was happening when they pulled me into the corner of the room. I was surrounded my black.

I felt a twist in my stomach when we apparently reached our destination. Well I guessed we have arrived because we were no longer surrounded in black. Instead we were in a green hill. Ahead of us their is what looks like a camp. There was a big, blue house, a wall that was spilling lava, pavilion, and cabins forming an omega. Near it was a strawberry field.

Percy led the way in with Annabeth holding his hand. Me, Ashely, and Nico stayed behind. Annabeth and Percy entered the big blue house, while Nico stayed behind. In my opinion Nico was a bit too dark with his dark hair and eyes and pale skin. He wasn't that much older than me and Ashely.

"Welcome to Camp Half Blood," Nico continued, "right now our camp director, Chiron, will come out explain more about all this." He gestured around him. He turned around facing the building.

The door opened to reveal Percy and Annabeth come out followed by a guy in a wheel chair. He had a brown beard with eyes that look like they have seen everything. Nico walked up to him, " Hello Chiron. "

"Hello Nico. I see you have brought them," said Chiron. He stood from his wheel chair. My first thought would have been that he might have some difficulty. But as he stood he grew taller and without difficulty. As he stood, a horse like body emerged along with his human body.

He was a centaur as I recall one of my mother's lesson on Greek mythology.

"So,"said Ashely recovering from the shock. "You're the one that sent them?"

Chiron nodded, "I was told about you, so I sent them to go get you."

Chiron turned to the rest the camp. "Annabeth and Nico prepare their stay. Percy, Ashely and Alex follow me."

Percy leaned into our ears and whispered, "It's story time."

"As you may now know already that the Gods are real," we nodded. "The Gods have been around for a long time. They now live in New York on top of the Empire State Building. We have also had a few recent wars ..." Chiron talked about the conflicts they have through, with Percy jumping in explain his own adventures. I looked at Ashely and saw her filled with wonder and excitement. She seems to enjoy the idea of having a dangerous life. The stories went on until we heard a horn be blown.
