The Unwanted Demigod

Chapter 6

(Annabeth)

Ms Ramos signalled us to sit. I sat in between the boys looking at Ms Ramos, her son Alex, and that pest, Ashely. I still cannot believe she hit Percy like that. He got a really big bruise on his head and she did not even say sorry.

I started off simple to them. "Do you guys know any Greek mythology?" They both nodded their heads. "Well they are real." Their eyes widened.

"How is that possible?" Alex asked.

"They are immortal, so they could live a pretty long time," Percy said. It took them a while process that.

"And what do we have to do in this," said Ashely

"Well you see you two are demigods. Which means you are half human and half god," said Grover.

"Which also means that one of your parents are human and the other god," I told them slowly so they could understand.

Ashley glared at me while I glared back."So mom, you are human, right," she nodded, "then who is my dad?"

"Oh my, I have so much to tell you. Especially you Ashely," she said, "well you see Alex your father is Apollo the sun god. We met at a concert one day and you know, we fell in love. When you were born he had to leave. He couldn't stay." She paused letting that sink in for him.

She then turned to Ashely, "And you sweetie I don't know who is your parent, but I do know she is a female. I knew you'd dad personally. He was my half brother." She said before pausing. Then continued, "6 months after Alex was born I got a letter in the mail telling me to watch over you. It had the address as to where to go to. And I moved over here, so I could keep an eye on you."

Ashely looked lost for words. "Uh... Thanks, Auntie Gaby." She smiled at Ms Ramos who smiled back.

"So why didn't you ever tell us," asked Alex.

"I didn't know how. Sorry sweetie," said Ms Ramos.

"So what now?"

And that's when decided to speak. I forgot he was here with. He was Just so quiet. "We are going to take you to Camp Half Blood. It's a safe place for people like us to train." Ms Ramos, Alex, and Ashely jumped in surprise.

Ashley was the first to recover, "Wait, what do you mean by 'safe'? Were not safe here?"

"No you're not. Your demigod aroma will attract monsters," continued Percy, "that was how Grover was a able to smell you."

"Do we stink?" asked Ashely. Oh my Gods, really, what kind of question is that.

"Um... I don't know," responded Grover.

"We should get going ," said Nico making all of us jump.

"Now," asked Ashely.

"Of course now. If we stay any longer we may attract monsters," I told her. It looked like she was going to say something, but then was interrupted my Ms Ramos.

"You better get packing," she told them. They both got up. Alex went somewhere in the apartment. Ashely went to Percy.

"Sorry for hitting you with a screwdriver," she said apologetically before walking to the door and out of the apartment.
