Chapter 8

At the airport I walked out hand in hand with Jason, some of his fans were taking pictures of us. I was 5 months pregnant and was starting to show. I was also wearing the ring Jason had got me my friend Jorja was waiting to pick us up at the airport with her son Nicholas. He had grown from the last time I saw him and he was walking he was so cute in his tiny jeans and plain blue t-shirt.

"Hi Shaniah" she said hugging me then Jason hugged her and whispered something to her.

I opened my arms to Nicholas and he ran to me, I picked him up and he hugged me and said mumbled something. I looked at Jorja she was shocked.

"Well let's get you home then." She said leading the way to her car.

She walked in front of us then Jason took my hand in his and said,

"I told her that Andre was killed in Mexico." said Jason

"alright, but what about the engagement? And the baby?" I asked

"you can tell your friends about that." He said and kissed me. I smiled.

"So how was the holiday?" asked Jorja when we got near the car.

She opened the door and placed Nicholas in his booster seat. Jason lifted my luggage and placed it in the boot of Jorja's car, he didn't want me carrying it because of the baby.

"thank you" I said to Jason. "oh, it was good mostly had it's moments, Jason and I went from Mexico to Dubai and then to Hawaii and then came back to California. But after Andre..." I said not knowing how to finish the sentence.

"did they find who did it?" asked Jorja I nodded and let Jason answer.

"It was a police officer." Said Jason

"he was cheating on her" said Jason putting his arm around my waist.

"really?" asked Jorja in disgust. I nodded.

"yah it was with the officers wife." Replied Jason.

"then he deserved it." Said Jorja. "sorry Shaniah." She said.

I got into the car Jason sat next to Nicholas while I sat in the front. Jason was playing with Nicholas it was cute, for most of the trip we were talking about the holiday and what we did.

I pulled my phone out of my pocket and turned off the aeroplane mode when my phone rang,

"Hi Shaniah, it's josh, we need your help." Said josh he sounded worried,

"calm down what's wrong?" I asked looking at Jorja.

"it's Sami, and the baby." Said Josh anxiously.

"get her to a hospital we'll see you there." I said.

"she doesn't want to, the last time they screwed it up, now she's worried that it's going to happen again." Said josh I could tell he was really worried.

"alright text me your address, we'll get there soon." I assured him. Seconds later I got a text containing his address.

"Hey Jorja I need a big favour, can you take us through this rout," I asked.

"sure." She said.

"is everything alright?" she asked.

"yah Sami's in labour" I said.

"is she in hospital?" asked Jason worriedly.

"no," I replied.

"yah, after she had Autumn, she got pregnant again, but the doctors didn't want to deliver it earlier and the baby didn't make it." Said Jorja.

"that makes sense." I said looking at my phone.

"Two more houses." I said helping Jorja.

"thanks, you should probably go home this might take some time." I advised Jason and Jorja.

"I'm staying with you." Said Jason.

"alright." I said. "I'm coming too" said Jorja she had already got out of the car and carried Nicholas, she wiped the drool of his mouth and walked with us.

"wait a second, are you engaged again?" she asked me. I nodded.

"he asked me a few days after Andre was killed. Don't judge me." I said.

"nah, I'm happy for you two." Said "should I tell them?" I asked Jason. he placed his hand on my belly and said "we also got busy." I smiled and then I heard a scream. I assumed it was Sami. Jason knocked on the door.

"thank you for coming." said josh opening the door.

"how is she?" I asked as I walked into joshes' house.

"She's in our room. "Where are the kids?" asked Jason,

"There at Etana's place. "Said josh.

I walked into their room and saw Sami on the bed she was clearly in pain.

"Jason can you go over to your place and get a tube of morphine," I asked.

"yah." He said. He kissed me, excused himself and walked out of joshes' house.

"I keep all of my supplies in his place." I clarified.

"That's not what I'm worried about." Said josh.

I took a deep breath, "Andre was killed when we were in Mexico, he cheated on me with a police officer's wife," I said looking at the red carpet with black lines running through it at random, I felt terrible for lying to my friends but it was safe that way.

"Jason came over to Mexico, to tell me but it was too late, a few days later he popped the question. Things happened and now were here." I said.

"What sorts of things" asked Sami, although she was in pain she was taking it well, she stood up and went to josh he hugged her as she buried her face in his shoulder. "Things that usually end up like this." I said.
