Both armies were fighting each other. Swords were clashing with each other. Bodies fell down on the battle field. And soldiers fought one another. Peter was on the ground with Edmund, fighting side by side. Peter fought with his sword and shield, while Edmund fought with two swords. Lucy remained up on a hill with the archers, telling them when and where to fire. Susan was riding her horse through the soldiers, firing arrows at the enemy. However, Caspian was still in the forest trying to fight off the general. Their swords made contact with each other several times. The general was definitely giving Caspian a hard time. Eventually, there was an opening for a strike, so Caspian took it. He took his sword and quickly lunged at the general, stabbing him in the abdomen. The general slowly fell to the ground. Caspian took a step back. It had been awhile since Caspian had fought in a battle. He didn't like killing much, but it was necessary. So he did what he had to.

Susan rode up to Caspian. She was concerned.

"Caspian, are you alright?" Susan asked.

Caspian just nodded his head. Susan stuck out her hand for Caspian to grab. He grabbed her hand and hopped on her horse. Susan rode them both out to the battlefield. She stopped at a safe place, that was next to the battlefield. It was away from the battle but was also close so it wouldn't take long to get back out there.

Before Susan rode off, Caspian took her hand in his.

"Promise me, you will come back to me,"

"I promise," Susan said.

She bent down to Caspian. She put her right hand behind his head and kissed him on the lips.

"Now go," Susan ordered.

Caspian and Susan went their separate ways. Caspian ran into battle. He killed every creature that was near him. Susan rode through the battlefield, firing her arrows at the enemy, again. Caspian was making his way to Peter and Edmund, who were in the middle of the fight.

Peter and Edmund were making progress. They had killed many of the enemy soldiers, decreasing the number in the witch's army. Many of her soldiers had surrendered or ran off. She was slowly falling. There was no way she was going to win. Then something happened that would change things.
