Days had gone by and everyone was preparing for battle. Weapons and armor were being made by the silversmiths. They were making everything sturdy, sharp, and impenetrable. The training was still taking place. Peter wanted everyone to be ready for battle. He didn't want anyone to lose their lives, or get hurt. So he went the extra mile in keeping them training. Many Narnian's were becoming great soldiers. They were working hard at their training.
Edmund and Peter practiced together. They battled each other with their swords. Sometimes Edmund will take the win, and other times Peter will take the win. They were pretty evenly matched. Caspian would spar with Edmund when he had the time. Caspian thought it would be best for him to stay away from Peter. He didn't want to start anything with him before the battle. When Caspian wasn't sparing with Edmund, he was usually taking care of matters with his people. And if he wasn't doing that, then he was spending time with Susan.
Susan was usually doing target practice with Lucy. She even started fighting with a sword, just in case things went wrong, or she ran out of arrows. Lucy usually would throw her knife at the target. She wasn't much of a fighter, and she didn't want to be.
Their numbers were good, but they weren't enough. The White Witch had many more numbers than they did. However, they were all pretty sure that they could win.
Susan was riding with Caspian on the beach. They wanted to step away from everything and take a break. They were only days away from heading into battle, which made them spend every minute they had in their spare time together.
"What do you think the battle will be like?" Susan asked worry.
"I think it will be like all battles," Caspian replied. "It will be for a better Narnia and of great loss."
"That's a good way to put it." Susan complimented.
Caspian gave a little smile. He wasn't very pleased with what the battle will be like, or how it was going to end. He was really worried about what will happen to Susan after the battle. Will she return to the world from where she came? Or will she be able to stay? Those questions never left his head.
"What do you plan on doing after this is over?" Caspian asked again.
Susan looked at Caspian. He seemed anxious, but also a little bit concerned.
"I don't know," Susan continued. "I don't know if I can stay, or if I can go back."
"If you could stay, would you?" Caspian added to the question.
Sorry for the short chapter.
