Four weeks pasted until Brad showed up for school. Where could he have been? I thought. Just then I saw him walking down the hall with his backpack on and his books in his hand. So I ran up to him and asked.
“Hey where were you for the past few weeks?”
“Oh…uh…my family went to go visit my aunt because she wasn’t feeling well,” Brad said.
“Is she alright?”
“Yeah she’s getting better.”
“Oh…okay.” After that we didn’t talk at all until after lunch.
“Hey Tori, can I talk to you after school?” he asked.
“Sure, what for?”
“I just need to talk to you, okay.”
“Sure.”
“Alright then, see you after school.”
“Okay, see you.”
That afternoon when I was waiting for him, a car was speeding and lost control. The car was coming right at me, and then out of nowhere Brad came and stops the car just inches away from me. Brad was staring at me and I think his eyes changed from brown to purple and then I fainted, when I woke up I was in the nurse’s office. Brad, who looks so handsome holding my hand, was sitting on a stool next to me. He was about to say something when my eyes were adjusting until I heard something.
“Victoria, are you okay?” my mom said rushing in here like a maniac. Brad dropped my hand quickly when he was straddle by her.
“I’m fine mom. Really I am,” I said while she was putting a hand on my head and patting my cheeks.
“Well I’m glad that you are okay. What the heck happened?” she demanded.
“I saved her…before she was crushed…by Tommy’s truck. Ma’am,” Brad said shifting a little.
“What’s your name, boy?” she asked.
“Uh…Bradford
“Tori I’m sorry. I didn’t know that my brakes were-” Tommy said but was cut off when my mom closed the curtains in front of him.
“That’s enough out of you, boy,” my mom said huffing a bit. “Come on Victoria lets go home, I have dinner in the oven.”
“Okay…see you later Brad,” I said rubbing my back because of the hard bed. So we went home and ate dinner. When I was about to head up stairs my mom said,
“I’ll be right back; I have to get a few things at the store. Do you want anything from the store while I’m gone?”
“Yeah, you know those new energy drinks I was talking about, ‘Vampire Fusion’ and a few black roses if they have any,” I said almost half way to my bedroom.
“Okay, I’ll be back in about 30 minutes.”
Then she walked out the door. As she drove off I ran to my room and went on my laptop. I went on Bing to see anything about vampires but all I saw was spells about turning a human into a vampire. So instead I looked up the definition of it and it said:
Vampires- a human like creature who acts like a human but is not. These creatures are pale, blood-sucking, sun haters, flying, speed-runners, very strong, high jumpers and have special abilities to do something.
That night I was dreaming about how Brad got there in time to save me then I remembered what I read on the laptop made me think about it. Was Brad a…nah it can’t be…could it?
