Prologue

Watching your friends grow is always bound to be sufferable. It does not matter that it is unavoidable it is still sad when you have to realize that growing up is a part of life. You can tell yourself that everything will stay the same but that is not true.

Everything and everyone change.

Maybe it is nothing big, maybe they just stops calling. Maybe it feels big, like when you realize they does not need you anymore. Not like before. They do not have to rely on you, or the friendship you share, because they have grown up. They are leaving everything behind and sometimes you realize there are no place for you in their new world.

It is not like I blame them. Friends grow apart, of course they do. They experience different things and there is no way you can stay with each other forever. Of course you wish that you could but it is just not possible. Being friends and staying friends are two completely different things.

The concept of being friends is that when the time comes to say goodbye you do it. Maybe not for yourself, God only knows you still need them, no you say goodbye because that is what they need.

At some point there is no other choice than to let them go. You have to realize that some people can stay in your heart but not in your life. Then again, a friendship that ends never really began did it? Maybe we only think we have friends because that is what we call people until it is time to leave them behind or be the one left behind.

Yes friendship is a sad thing and watching your friends grow is always bound to be sufferable.
