Chapter 10 ~ Swimming trunks or nah...?

After hanging up the phone Anton threw Ethan a dirty look and then he nodded at me.

"She is seriously protective of that child so make sure you watch over him." He stated, giving me the phone back so I could take it back to the table it had stood on before.

"Otherwise we're all royally screwed..." He added, making me chuckle. Yes my mother could be seriously scary sometimes. Especially when it came to her children.

"I'd die for him so there's no problem." Ethan suddenly said shooting me a sideway glance before moving his attention back on Anton. I frowned at his words but before I could remark on it Anton answered him by simply saying:

"Good."

How the hell could he take what he just said so calmly? His friend just told him he'd die for a guy he hadn't even known for more than a day! How could that be even considered remotely close to being 'good'? It seriously wasn't...

"You're all crazy and I need to get away from here before I turn crazy too... Thanks for the help though..." I muttered, nodding a slight thanks in Anton's direction and then tugging my fingers through my sprawling hair before I turned on my heels and started to walk towards the door. I hadn't taken more than a few steps when I felt a hand closing around my arm and in a second I found myself being picked up by Ethan.

"Come on Ethan I can walk by myself you know!" I whined, but for some strange reason I still wrapped my legs around his waist and my arms tightly around his neck. Maybe I was already getting used to his odd treatment. Aww I was doomed wasn't I?

"You're not leaving." Ethan said as he walked us down the corridor and I knew that it hadn't been a question so I kept silent. It wasn't like I could say that I'd stay, because I couldn't, but at the same time there was no use in saying that I was leaving either since Ethan would probably just growl in answer to that.

When we reached the stairs Ethan took me back down to the main floor and there he spotted Kate who called out to us in her high-pitched voice.

"Where did you go? Come on and help us pick out something to wear!" She said, and even though I tried to get Ethan to let me down outside the room he simply ignored my struggling and walked inside with me still hanging around him. God dammit...

"Have you found a substitute for your mother Matty?" Regina immediately said as she sent me a small smirk and I finally managed to push away from Ethan and take a step to the side.

"Shut up Re!" I growled, throwing her a dirty glance. By now I could see that it wasn't only Regina, Kate and Amber in here, no they had managed to get both that Vin- guy and the other one that Ash jumped at breakfast in here too. They didn't look that happy to be here so I guess it wasn't that fun. By the look of all the clothes covering the floor they had been at it for a while too. I decided that the best place to be right now would be the bed because there were too much clothes on the floor really. Though before I could make it to the bed the door to the room opened and Alex walked inside with Ash trailing timidly behind him. Where the hell had he been?

"Ash!!" I yelled, jumping in his direction and trying to paddle through the clothes back to where he was standing, looking at me with fear in his eyes. Hah, he had obviously not been expecting seeing this when entering the room.

"Oh my God..." He whispered after having moved his eyes all over the room and noticing the others standing over by the far wall. He didn't get time to say anything else because I decided to tackle him and in a second we were lying on the ground tangled together in the piles of clothes. At least it had been a soft landing huh? Ash didn't seem to appreciate my excitement because he firmly pushed me away and huffed in annoyance.
