Kara's POV
Well, I was right about today being a long day. I was ready to go home and it wasn't even lunch yet.
I started to bang my head on the desk hoping that it would take me out of my misery. It didn't though; it just gained the attention of the teacher and everyone else in the room and caused for my headache to grow worse.
"Miss. Foxx! Do you care to explain why you are hitting your head against one of my desks?" My teacher Mrs. Fatez questioned me in an angry tone.
If you couldn't tell already, she hated me with a passion. The thing is I don't even know why.
"I was hoping it would take me out of my misery." I muttered.
I didn't expect her to hear me since she was an old lady, but boy was I wrong. What she told me next made me despise her even more.
"Detention!" She screeched at me.
I just stared at her with my mouth gaped. You have got to be joking me!
"What! Why?" I asked throwing my hands up in the air.
What the heck did I do? Oh that's right, nothing!
"Don't talk back to me! Now get out of my class and I expect you to be in detention at 3:00 tomorrow!" She told me as she pointed at the door.
Muttering a few choice words, I grabbed my things and left the room. What to do now? I thought. I had another twenty-five minutes before the bell rang for lunch.
I decided that I would go outside and sit at one of the tables. There was obviously no one out here since there were still classes going on.
It was peaceful, but then again it was kinda weird being the only one out here. It gave me peace to just think though.
Many things ran through my head. I thought about everything from my accident to my family. I also thought about Jessica and Taylor's warning to stay away from Jace. He seems ok I mean he doesn't seem like he is a bad person.
Wait. Jace and the sticky-note! I haven't checked to see if he had wrote back or not. Now is the perfect time to do so. I hurriedly got up and grabbed my things and rushed back into the school and down the halls.
I had five minutes before the bell rang and everyone came into the halls. So in other words I have five minutes to get the sticky-note and high tail it out of there so no one would see me.
Running as fast as I could, I finally reached to water fountain by the school entrance. I bent down to see if I could find the sticky-note.
I had no such luck. Did he really not write back? Did my question make him not want to write back?
Right when that last question went thru my mind my hand felt something. I pulled it down and saw that it was in fact a sticky note.
Relief spread thru me.
The bell rang at the moment I caught sight of the small sticky-note. I quickly jumped up and shoved the paper in my pocket.
I guess I will have to read that later.
I made my way to the lunchroom and got my lunch. With my tray in hand, I walked over to my lunch table.
Taylor and Jessica were already at the table, which surprised me. I was always the first on there. Always.
