Jace's POV
I slammed my locker shut and rested my head on the cool metal door. I had a splitting headache and I didn't get much sleep last night.
I should have just skipped today, then again if my parents got one more call from the school they said they were taking my 'skating privileges' away for a month.
They don't care about being my parents when good things happen, but when something like the school calls, they act like parents that give a crap.
Just because I don't act all high class. Stupid right?
"Hey dude, you want to go to the skate park today after school?"
I turned my head and saw Max coming towards me. I was about to agree to go with him to the skate park, but then a thought hit me.
I had detention after school today. Dang it.
"I can't. I have to sit in detention after school today." I told him and then the bell rang.
"Oh that sucks. What teacher?" He asked as we walked to class.
"Mrs. Fatez. I really despise that women." I spoke.
It's the truth. I really do despise that woman and there is no doubt that the feeling is mutual. Its not like I'm even in her class much anyways.
"Who doesn't." Said Max before we entered the gym for gym class.

Before I knew it, it was the end of the day. Thank goodness, I thought to myself. I don't think I could handle yet another minute of my teachers drone on and on.
I still had to attend detention and if I was to skip this one I would get suspended and I don't need that.
I was walking to Mrs. Fatez's classroom when I glanced outside and I caught sight of the garden club shed and it hit me. I forgot to get the sticky-note today.
I turned and went to the shed to get the sticky-note before I went to detention. Inside the shed I caught sight of a pink sticky-note stuck to the side of one of the huge flower pots.
Yeah I know I picked a really strange place for her to put her response. It was the first place that came to mind.
I wonder if my response freaked her out. Then again she did write me back, hmm. I need to go to detention before I get in even more trouble.
A few minutes later I walked into detention, sticky-note in hand when I caught sight of a familiar blonde haired brown-eyed girl.
What was Kara doing here?
_____
Kara's POV
I wanted to bang my head against this desk but then again, that is what got me here in the first place.
The opening of the door caught my attention and I looked up. When I did, my eyes locked with a pair of familiar emerald green eyes.
Jace?
He walked over to me and gave me a smile before he sat down in front of me. I gave him a smile back before Mrs. Fatez started to speak, well yell.
"Ok as you all know, this is detention. That means no talking, no eating, no moving around, and no phones or iPods. Am I clear?" Mrs. Fatez told us in a grouchy voice.
