As I looked at the hospital I realized there was only two possible ways to get in, the door or the windows. I stupidly grabbed the knob of the door and it was locked but I just had to check. My only hope was the windows but there was a ton of them. And all of the windows were way to high for me to jump up to. As my eyes roamed over the building I finally saw what I was looking for.
One particular branch from a tree had grown so it was close to one window, but it was still a good three feet away from it. But it was my only shot. I quietly made my way to the tree. I am not a climber I never have been and never will be. As my hands clawed at the bark I began to rethink, what if I go through all this trouble and the windows locked. But I shook the thought from my head, and continued my trek upward. My hands were bloody and raw. By the time I got close to the tree branch.
I swung my foot over the side of the branch, so I was straddling it, straight down was the window. Before I could get started, I heard a whisper.
I huddled closer to the trunk of the tree begging for it to conceal me. I held my breathe until I saw the redmen continue walking through trees and I went unnoticed. I began scooting till the branch got so thin, that I had to drop and use my arms. But a thin branch is a little bit more difficult than monkey bars. I kept going till I reached the very end.
I knew that I would be seriously injured if I fell. But my hands were getting so sweaty and I felt myself slipping. Even though I was at the end of the branch ,the window was still pretty far away but when I stretch my legs out my feet touched the building . I breathed a sigh of relief and almost lost my grip because I saw that the window was cracked open.
I swung my leg up and lodged my foot in the crack of the window. My foot was stuck sideways leaving me in a very uncomfortable position. I turned my body so my butt was facing the window and my face was facing the branch. I tried to shimmy my other foot in but I couldn't see, I turned my head trying to see where I was going but I lost my grip. I was dangling by my foot and as I swung, it twisted and snapped.
I let out a shriek. I pulled myself together enough to realize that I could pull myself up by gripping on to the siding of the hospital. As I raised myself up my foot broke through. Now my calf was stuck. But this time i successfully pushed other foot through.I squirmed till my butt was now through the window.
I fell into the hospital with a grunt which became a gasp very quickly, as I came to the conclusion there was something very wrong with my foot. I used the walls to walk so i could navigate my way through the hospital, till I arrived at a door that said Jesse Grace. Hmm I didn't know that was his last name. I quietly turned the knob, and the door opened with a creak.
I looked into the room and saw Jesse completely soaked in his own sweat, I remembered that Debbie said he didn't recognize anybody so I would have to be careful. I watched Jesse as he thrashed and turned over on the bed. Screaming random things.
I walked up "Jesse" I said softly putting my hand on his forehead cautiously.
He turned over and looked at me, he looked awake but I knew he was still asleep. "She's going to leave me" he said holding back tears. " who" i asked even though I was quite sure of .his answer.
"Ahna" he said and confirmed my thought. " she can't" he cried and he began sobbing unconsolably. I climbed in the bed and laid next to him. He clutched my shirt and was still crying saying "don't leave me, don't ever leave me" "I can't live without you" he buried his face in my chest and I wrapped my arms around him.
"I won't ever leave you" I said with tears in my eyes because i knew it was true.
