Images of extreme embarassment flashed through the girl's unconscious mind. Hands latched themselves on her shoulders, shaking her vigorously.

Blinking open, the dazed blue eyes focused on Alya who was calm as ever.

Marinette had always wished that she had that calm demeanour but his was not the time. Panic running through her veins, she bounced back up and started pacing here and there.

Alya was pushed back to the floor from the sudden action. Rubbing her sore butt, she glared ferociously at her friend.

Finding it hard to stay mad at her, Alya knew it was just the moment where all her emotions were spiralling like a whirlpool.

Settling down on her pink bed, she comforted Marinette,"It's not the worst case."

That stopped her from pacing as she looked at Alya in despair. It was a lie and this is definitely the worst case ever occurred in her entire life.

Well apart from making a fool of herself in front of Adrien, day-dreaming of Adrien when he was right in front of her, stammering in front of him.

You can still say that this is the worst.

Her mind was running into the possibilities of being arrested, (really, Marinette?) or embarrassed by everyone or worst yet ignored by him.

Alya could see her falling into pieces so she took matters into her own hands.

"Well, if we can take his phone and delete the message. Nothing bad would happen, right?"

Alya gazed at Marinette's question in astonishment. Marinette bounced up and down on the balls on her feet before pulling down a huge timetable full of Adrien's tasks.

She pointed at the current time with a ruler and said that,"Now he has fencing classes, it will end at 22 minutes and 30 seconds later. So we have enough time to take it and delete it."

Her best friend muttered,"If you keep this up, I may have to bring you to the hospital."

Marinette smiles cheekily in reply. She grabbed her purse, slung it around her shoulder and hop and seizure Alya before pulling her down the stairs.

Bursting through the doors, they found the event which had long past started. Alya exclaimed,"Today was the day where they reveal the statue of Ladybug and Cat Noir! Oh my god, why did I forget that!"

Marinette was face-palming herself silently. Stupid, stupid, stupid! How could she forget about that event!

Suddenly guilty, Alya turned to Marinette with an uncertained look on her face. Her friend knew that look and she understood that it was important it her reporter. She nodded and chimed,"I'll be fine, Alya. Go and record for Ladybug and her fans."

She looked at her, torn between her passion and friend. Marinette nodded with certainty in her blue eyes. She left after apologising millions of times.

Marinette pressed the button for the cars to stop so that she could cross the zebra-crossing to the other side.

Tikki emerged, and stuttered,"What about the event, Marinette?"

Her frustrated friend exhaled,"I'll go get the phone then we'll go to the event."

"But that could take hours!"

"Unless you're good at borrowing things for a while."

"But the event will be over by the time we come back."

"Tikki, listen. There's nothing else more important right now than protecting my dignity! I know it's for me but Cat is there. He'll keep them satisfied."

With those last words, she sent off for the school gym. Tikki sighed before saying,"I can literally have a massive headache just by talking to her."

Oh well, love is love. Right?
