Ok Marinette. You can do this! Just open your mouth and confess your feelings for him. I looked at thre mirror with determined eyes.
Her azure blue eyes reflected back with strength but soon had a flicker of doubt. Who am I kidding? I can't do it! Every time I look at him and try to communicate, I end up embarrassing myself by having foam drizzling from my mouth.
But he congratulated you personally when you won the fashion competition! A little voice in my heart said.
It caused a glimmer of hope to shine but doubt soon returned dousing the light with darkness again.
I can't! What if he makes fun of me before rejecting me! Or someone came along and cuts into our conversation before I get to confess! What if his father appears and says I am too poor to be with him!
Thoughts and feelings were running around in my head because of him. Why does he have to be so perfect?! I can talk to other boys like Nino, Nathanial and the others, but he's the only one that makes my heart beats like a drum. The disadvantages of having a crush on be most perfect guy in the entire world, comes down to this. The girl ruffled her hair in frustration.
A knock shook her out of her turbulence, she sprinted to the door, knocking down everything that stood in her way.
When she reached the door, Alya was at the opening, twiddling with her laptop before marching straight into the room.
Marinette exclaimed,"Alya! Help me!" trapping her best friend in a tight hug, successfully cutting her air supply.
"Marinette....let me....go....please." She squeaked out and heaved in big gulps of air as her bestie released her in apology.
Alya decided to show Marinette what she found in the Internet to help her in her quest for true love. (LOL)
The said girl stared at the screen in disbelief. The title on it clearly shows 'Signs that your crush might like you back!'
Immediately, she snatched the device away from Alya and jumped on her couch, making herself comfortable before starting the quiz.
Shaking her head in amusement, Alya sat cross legged beside her on the comfortable couch.
Few minutes later,
"Arghhhjh!" The scream sounded throughout the whole building, scaring everyone in it.
Alya had her hands pressed over her sensitive ears while a broken hearted female laid flat on the couch whining.
Apparently, their love percentage was only 53%!! Fifty-three!!! I tell you!!! It showed Marinette that they weren't compatible enough.
Alya sighed and comforted her friend who was going through the tissue box like she's on fire.
Grabbing her sobbing shoulders, Alya looked at Marinette straight into her eyes and stated,"It doesn't matter what the quiz says or even anybody else! Marinette, listen to your heart."
"But...but my heart says to go and confess naturally while my mind automatically shuts down. So how do I do it!!!"
"Marinette..we went through this a million times. You're not going to stutter or do anything dumb, okay? You are just going to march straight to him and confess!!!"
The poor girl nodded in submission, letting her friend pull her to her work table.
"Now what about trying to confess your love on paper? It should prepare you for the big one!"
An idea sparked into Marinette's head when those words came out of Alya's mouth.
She sat on the chair and placed a normal-looking card on the surface. With a pen in hand, she started pouring her feelings on the paper.
