Everyone today had talked about Shane. Some were concerned and some were amused. As I drove home to get ready for work, I thought about what kind of guy Shane was. I couldn't get his mangled brown hair out of my head. How the tips of his hair laid over his eyes. I could only imagine how this next month would be like taking care of him. I pulled in my driveway and killed the car. I sat there blankly staring at each brick laid out on the house, the paint that was pealing off the garage doors, and the dying flowers next to our door. Finally, I came back to the world and I got out of the car. I walked up the walk way and turned the knob. The house sounded muted so I started to sing aloud Unwritten. I changed super quick and then hurried out the door, accidentally slamming it. Then I instantly became a speed racer trying to get to work on time. I clocked in and began to head to room 315. Without knocking, I barged in. He was gone.
