I yelled for security and paged the doctor under emergency. I pushed threw the crowd to get inside Shane's room and I could only imagine how bad Shane would be freaking out. I told everyone they needed to go to the waiting room and wait their turn. "Only a certain amount of people can be in this room at once!" I yelled. I panicked and tried keeping him calm. There wasn't much I could do. Finally, I heard the angel calls of the security guard removing them from the room. Shane instantly began freaking out and I did the only thing I thought of that would calm him down. I grabbed him instantly and hugged him. He started to calm down and I started pushing him backward so he would lay down. His eyes started to shut but I had to try and keep him remaining awake. "Shane, Shane honey, keep your eyes on me. Stay awake" I tried the best I could. He suddenly opened his eyes and he wouldn't take them off me. We locked eyes and he was fully awake in an instant. The doctor came barging in. He took over and made sure he was okay. He checked his vitals and his liquid bag. He flashed the flashlight in both eyes and made sure he was all the way here with us. The doctor left the room after letting me know that I needed to stay with him. Great. After what just happened, I wasn't sure what I should do. I sat there next to his bed and I let everyone know I would be busy for the rest of the night over the pager. I fell asleep for maybe 15 minutes and suddenly I head a voice. "Dr. Cole?" It was Shane.
