The Unexpected Love

Chapter 15

I stayed in bed all day and ordered some pizza. Movies were starting to burn my eyes so I slowly fell asleep. 15 minutes later, my doorbell rang. It took me a little bit to get out of bed and down the stairs to get to the door. I opened it and was shocked to see Shane."Hey. I wanted to thank you for helping me to get back to health. I didn't get a chance to thank you." I was so nervous. I never thought he would be here at my door. I didn't even think he would be able to remember when I told him where I live."You're welcome. Its my job." He smirked and then looked down at his feet. He knew I didn't have to do what I did."Do you want to go somewhere and eat?" I held in a smile and took a minute to answer."Sure. I know just the place to go." We headed to Lucy's. When we got there, we picked the book I usually sit in. I wasn't quite used to sitting with someone. It was so different. We both ordered a burger and fries. He stared at me for a while, almost into my soul. I looked away, hopefully making things in awkward. Like our situation wasn't awkward enough.

"I know its been only one month of getting to know each other, but I can't help but be drawn to you. The things we had to encounter together and the obstacles we had to face and get through made us grow together."

"I can understand how this past month has been life changing for you, but I was just doing my job Shane."

Although I had said it like I could feel nothing, I couldn't help but feel something for him. I couldn't help but fall in love. He looked up and smiled.

"I know you feel something. You try to hide it but you can't. I won't give up on it. I can't."

Just then, he moved his arm towards me and he gently curved his delegate fingers around my ear to push back my bangs. I loved them for shielding my face. My guard was down and just them I fell in love. As he leaned into kiss me, I somehow found the way to kiss him back."What makes you think I am hiding it?" He began to give out a laugh."Be mine." All I could do was nod.
