I gulped."We need to get you back to your room. It's getting late and you need some rest. You go home tomorrow so you need to be healthy." Before he could say anything, I walked away to put up the trash. He knew I was nervous so he left it alone. He never pushed and that's definitely one thing I enjoyed about him. When we got up to his room, my alarm went off, telling me that I needed to clock out. As I turned to go, I asked him if he needed anything. He said he was perfectly fine and then thanked me for tonight. Before I could shut the door, the doctor came up behind me.

"Thank goodness I caught you in time."
"Yes doctor? What'd you need?"
"Well, I wanted to give you this card for Valentine's Day."

I heard movement in the room so I peeked in the room with the corner of my eye. Shane had moved to see what was going on. His grip tightened around the bed rail. His white knuckles flashed at me. I grabbed the card from him and then thanked him. I went home, still full from the food to stop at Lucy's. I couldn't sleep. Just thinking of Shane getting jealous and him saying he "loved" me made me cringe. Every time I closed my eyes, I would see him. Dreams of the future made me wake up. I was scared for the future if we were to be in love. It was just don't need love right now. I guess I just won't go to school tomorrow. I needed sleep.
