Chapter 18.

Chapter 18.

Chase left at around half six, not before nearly waking everyone up who was within a 3 mile radius. How he managed to stumble out of bed, knock over the lamp, trip over his shoes and then stand in the leftover ice cream, all in under a minute I will never know. Luckily Violet was still asleep, unaware of the nights activities, Chase staying over wasn’t exactly something I was willing to share with her, no matter how innocent. Knowing Chase though, he would be able to calm her down with his charm and sweet talking ways. Jerk.

Even though right now I needed him as much as my right leg, he still had the capability of irritating the hell out of me, I was happy about that though; I hated the whole couple bubble thing, even though I was a complete romantic. In my opinion, there is being in love and then being obsessed. Not that me and Chase belonged in either of those categories. I mean I definitely wasn’t obsessed, or in love.

 Love.

 Oh god.

“What?” ah such a lovely warm greeting of a friend in the morning. I had quickly grabbed the phone and dialled Lily’s number as soon as the shocking, weird thought had crossed my mind. Granted I probably should have remembered it was only half six in the morning

“I need your help”

“Can it wait until I'm alive please?”

“Lily!” I practically screamed down the phone, the one time she was actually silent and not jumping around like a puppy on crack, was the time I needed her.

“Ok ok, one second” I smiled to myself and made my way to the kitchen, I grabbed some water and waited for a few moments, there was a few muffled voices before Lily spoke “ok what is it?”

“It's about Chase” there were more muffled sounds added with some giggling

“Sorry what?” she replied, was she with someone?

“Lily are you with someone?” I heard a hushed ‘sssh’ sound and more stifled laughter “oh my god you are!” I squealed

“No I'm not!”

I gasped loudly at my sudden realisation “you’re with Nate aren’t you?”

“Maybe” I screamed down the phone before remembering Violet and Livvie were still asleep, I clasped a hand over my mouth to prevent further squeals escaping “are you trying to deafen me woman!” Lily laughed down the phone

“You have to tell me everything!” I whisper yelled, hearing footsteps on the stairs

“Well it seems I'm not the only one with secrets, Nate had some very interesting information” I could picture her mischievous smile already, I shook my head at her suggestive tone

“What do you mean?” I replied innocently

“You know exactly what I mean, you and Chase! How about we got to starbucks later and have a catch up?”

“Sure” I agreed “I think we need one”

“Ok then I’ll meet you by the pier at 10”

“Have fun” I giggled

“I can so see you winking right now” she said with a groan

We hung up just as Violet entered the room looking slightly shocked
