A work in Progress

Please forgive me
I'm a work in progress
Please forgive me
For my prowess.

On google I see things like:
What even is the meaning of life?
A 'frequently asked question'
From a Western generation.

Please forgive me
I'm a work in progress
Please forgive me
That I couldn't care less.

And to be honest,
I've begun to think
How ending your life
Is somewhat a thing.

Please forgive me
I'm a work in progress
Please forgive me
My heart can't forgive itself.

Am I asking too much of a favour?
Is my presence intense?
Too much to savor?
Though I'm innocent.

Please forgive me
I'm a work in progress
Please forgive me
I can't be skinny at the waist.

The world has begun to fall
Fall on our knees,
Heads hung low
Crying "please".

Please forgive me,
I'm a work in progress
And depression is a shadow
But not when the sun sets.
