I gaze at the sky
Seeing different hues merge
Soon it's become night.
-T

This poem is a reflection on how our lives are totally accustomed to routines. The sky is usually only described as blues or greys. It has a basic meaning really, blue is a synonym for feeling sad. Grey is usually a dull colour - associated with storms and rain clouds. Of course there're happiness and positive emotions. But the sunset, {(aka when we die) which is the middle line of this haiku}, is portraying that in the end of it all, before we close our eyes as we die, a colourful and vivid recollection of memories rush through our mind. This phase is during sunset. But night time (last line) it's like you have died and your memories that you've shared with others will live on in the people who knew you; Everyday... In case you are wondering what represents happiness for myself, I'd like to think it's sunrise.

The sun sears down
Burning everything to brown
But not your gold crown.
-T
No matter that many of the things you love will go,  there is always one thing  or someone that remains e.g crown. The crown is also a sign of pride and how it's means you are a queen in that special someone's eyes.
